Lovely place for birdwatching

Sadly we did not sleep here as they were fully booked, but we stopped for coffee and the owners went to a lot of trouble to explain where best to see lots of birds. They even allowed us to use their private hide in the hotel. We shall certainly stay here if we come this way again.

Good value mountain base
Reviewed By woodsider79We had booked ahead a half-board deal for two nights here, and found it to be excellent value, and a good base for exploring the Gredos mountains. Our room faced over the large car park and the main road, but there is no traffic to speak of at night, and only a handful of other guests at this time of year. The view beyond was of the mountains. Rooms are simply furnished, with a little outside balcony. For dinner there was little choice of menu, but this was no problem for us, and everything was tasty and filling after a day's hiking. Soup and fish (bass) one night, omelette and beef the next, plus dessert and wine included. Breakfast was a bit basic, but adequate at the price.

Reviewed By astrida70Beautiful surroundings and great to visit with a dog. Next to the rooms were you can stay with a dog is a great walk. Fantastic and very complete breakfast. Restaurant is good, but meals are big when you have not been walking all day.

Home away from home
Reviewed By Anne-Marie BThis is our home away from home. Alfredo & Susana treat you so well, the place is impeccable, the fireplace is lovely, the location for hikers is the best. The decor is very homy; Alfredo made all the wooden furniture.

Outstanding! A real find in a stunning part of Spain
Reviewed By Katie NI can't recommend this place enough. The old house sits on a hillside amid a pleasant shady garden with fine views of the whole mountain range. The house has been sensitively restored, furnished with some good country antiques, and decorated in a most harmonious style. Rural, elegant and very comfortable. We were welcomed and looked after so kindly by Isabel and provided with an excellent breakfast each day.

El dueño muy atento, comimos en un restaurante que se llama " Barajas " muy, muy recomendable, con su chimenea, muy acogedor, el cochinillo estaba inmejorable junto con el chuletón. No se puede pedir más!!!
