The Heron will be temporarily closed starting February 20 2018 & Re-opening on April 13, 2018 Thanks for your support & see you in the Spring!
We came to this restaurant yesterday (7/16/2017) with my son and two good friends. We arrived around 2:00 pm. Although they have outside seating, we asked to sit inside. The restaurant has a full bar, completely air conditioned and service is outstanding. The menu is varied and interesting. I had the breakfast burrito, which came with a small salad and home fries. It was wonderful! My friend had a Reuben sandwich, which she said was the best she ever had anywhere! Don't miss this place if you find yourself in Narrowsburg, NY

Stopped in on a random trip! Nicely surprised but the offering for a coffee shop.
The breakfast wrap light and tasty with steamed (not fried eggs)
The Apple Brie sandwich is really delicious and fresh. The cranberry almond ciabatta makes this a great meal!
Friendly staff make your food to order... be patient & have a nice cup of coffee while you wait!

Overall, the food is always good to excellent at this restaurant. Service is friendly and prompt. Desserts are home made and always excellent. Prices are reasonable and complaints, if any, are handled quickly. Have been visiting this restaurant for years and never had any problems with the food or service. Wish they were open for lunch, but it's hard to manage a good size restaurant in a small town for lunch and dinner. Just wish they would update the carpeting. The duck is amazing, as is the filet mignon.

Who would have ever thought to find this kind of gourmet excellence in such an out of the way tiny hamlet! Pricey, but rustic elegance and delicious from appetizer to dessert. Celebrated special occasion, with unique cheese platter appetizer, duck beast perfectly done with mouth watering sides, steak Diane so tender and delicious! Creme brûlée....ummmmmmm good! A simply wonderful dining experience. You'll be surprised by the bread offering! Service was relaxed but good... made to order gourmet does take a bit longer, but so very well worth it!!!

Each of our 9 meals were delicious, presented beautifully, and heathful without preaching it. Delightful clean eating.

Beach Lake Bakery is family-owned and operated. In the late 1990s, co-founders and owners Brian and Lisa Woods started producing artisan breads out of the garage of their home in Beach Lake, PA. Their first customers were friends, but soon discovered a high demand for their European-style breads and traditional American pies and cookies.
The BEST bread and cakes and pies and all good stuff like that. They are only open on Saturday at there store but they are also at the Callicoon Farmers Market on Sundays. The lines are long but you will thank me.You've paid us quite a compliment! We're so glad you enjoy our stuff! Lisa Co-Owner

On a summer day, this is the place to chill with any of the offered brewskis and any of the creative and delish "za"s ( did you know this is short for "pizza"s and an acceptable word in the scabble world?). Buddist friends rave about the hot dogs, but the shaved pork citrus salad could have had a bit more shaved off onto the plate of fresh greens .

We were visiting the area for the first time and found The White Owl on the internet. Based on reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed.
Our server, Nicole, was attentive, friendly and really seemed to like working there. The food was better than expected as was the service. My husband and I both had steaks which were perfectly cooked. The house Merlot was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

We just had our third dinner visit to Uncle Vinny's in as many weeks. So excited to have such a great Italian restaurant in our local midst. The salmon, the mahi mahi, veal francese, zuppa di pesce, linguini clams and tonight's special: swordfish with saffron-infused risotto, all absolutely excellent. My husband thought the veal was the best ever (delicious and cut with a fork, sooo tender), tonight's choice of swordfish was one of the best decisions made in a restaurant: never had such delicious, fresh, moist swordfish (was brought up from NYC this a.m.). Appetizers of fried calamari, caprese, bruschetta and a most delicious mussels with wine/garlic sauce was out of this world. We soaked up the sauce under the mussels with the slices of fresh, warm delicious bread that is served (with a delicious sun-dried tomato butter) after ordering.
I guess you get the idea, we LOVE UNCLE VINNY'S and are thrilled that Vincenzo Doria has recently come to Narrowsburg to cook for us and has his wonderful Chef Brett Burkle at his side in the kitchen. Did I mention that (in nice weather) we sat on the lovely patio under umbrellas on the edge of the Narrowsburg Bridge and Eddy. Our dinner tonight w/o drinks or dessert was $58 (incl.tax.)
Service was very good, not rushed (European style, just the way i like it, don't go if you want a fast meal- this food is too good).
Tutti andare a tavola in Narrowsburg per mangiare!! Everyone come to Uncle Vinny's table to eat! Buon appetito!
