Nestled inland and away from its flashier French Riviera neighbors, Narbonne embraces a slower pace of life. The sleepy Canal de la Robine slices through this former river port, where salt marshes and lagoons filled with fishing boats draw plenty of artists but few tourists.

Absolutely perfect stay in the Chateau. Romantic place, spotless property, great service food and staff. Simply the best hotel/winery we have ever been PS: Special thanks to sommelier Francisca that has advised us the best wines there

Horrible attention to the client. Bad cleaning. Room cards expires before the end of the stay. Really hard for someone pick up emergency phones, and when they do it feels that they are making you a favor.

Located close to the entrance of the A9 and A61, the ibis Narbonne hotel has 67 air-conditioned rooms available for booking, all with free Wifi Internet access, including 3 adapted for disabled people. Breakfast is served as a buffet, everyday. Our restaurant, La Boucherie, is opened everyday from 12 noon to 2.45pm and 7pm to 10.45pm. A bar, a snack service 24/7 and free parking are at your disposal. Pets are more than welcome ! Ideally located to go to Les Grands Buffets, the African Reserve in Sigean and the Fontfroide abbey.
The rooms are classical (old style) Ibis but really enjoyed the service of the staff. They recommended me places and beaches to visit and they were extremely friendly. The restaurant is a meat restaurant and you can smell the meat when you enter. So don't recommend it to vegetarians ... I'm not fond of meat but had a nice dinner there though... I would recommend the hotel for its location and free and secure parking.

Unfortunately after a long road trip I arrived in the hotel and while in bed I noticed something in my pillow: ants. I put some crumbs in a corner of the room and within seconds there were 5 to 10 ants around. Cleanliness was not ideal either, I did not have to use the upper bed, but stairs were not clean. The hotel has some time, but I have seen older hotels where cleaning standards were much better. And all of this amid a pandemic, where the chain claims higher cleaning standards. It took me 30 mins to find some way to get in touch, website faulty, not contact form available and finally through the mobile app I downloaded I had an email address. Apparently there was an emergency phone in the reception, but it was not at the reception but at the entrance instead. It did not occur to me to look there. I finally emailed the hotel during the night when I was thinking of spending the night in the car and the day after received a call to enquire why I did not see the ants before (when the personnel was available) and to convince me that ants were not linked to cleanliness. Not the response I was expecting. Nice personnel in the morning though, with empathy and understanding when I shared the experience. I will definitely not stop there again.

Overall this hotel was ok with slightly refurbished rooms. The main downside was shower rooms have a shower curtain and no actual secure door. The water can drip through to main room floor so not great. The air conditioner controller was missing from both our rooms and we had to contact receptionist twice to confirm this was the case. Very helpful when realised both missing Wouldn’t rush back but it’s ok for quick overnight stopover.

We have stayed here a few times whilst en route from Spain and have had a few problems in recent years. However, I do not think we will be giving this hotel any more 'chances' until they can 'guarantee' a good room and a good meal. The meals have definitely improved over recent years and the breakfast is very good indeed. The staff are excellent - very polite, helpful and friendly so this is certainly not a complaint about them. When you arrive early evening after having driven 500 miles, you do not expect problems with you room - we had to be moved 3 times. There was either someone already in our bed or it hadn't been cleaned, the next room had had smokers in it and the next room had a broken window and aircon which started to throw out hot air at 2.00 a.m. I was too tired to move again so we boiled alive because of no security on window etc. When we stayed here in August, the hair dryer was not working and we had cobwebs and a generally unclean bathroom - I wiped down everything with my own sanitizer wipes - this place had not been 'deep' cleaned for quite some time - very poor. My family are in the hospitality industry and I was shocked by this - especially during the current situation. The overall appearance of the building is dreadful - damaged bits of plaster work, broken vents, dirty looking exterior and poor lighting in parts. This is not new and no one can possibly blame Covid-19 - I have a feeling it is something to do with the actual hotel group and I will be writing to them. This hotel is in an excellent location and, gets busy all year round but, I was talking to several families in the carpark and, they will not be returning. We all agree that the food has improved and the staff are 'lovely' but, there are too many problems now.

The hotel has a good relation prize-quality. Quiet, you are outside the city, but 5 min away by car from the city center. Some negative point: the bathroom is small. But clean and useful. Just a tip: you will need a car to move around

Ideally located in the heart of town and within walking distance of historic monuments of Narbonne, enjoy the comfort of a 3-star hotel where everything is provided for your relaxing holiday or business trips.Veritable institution of Narbonese hotels , La Residence is housed in a nineteenth century mansion that ombines charm and authenticity.
Outstanding historic town house on the Canal du Robine in the Aude region of southern France. Just a few minutes walk from the old center of Narbonne where you can view the Cathedral (circa 1276) and the Palace of the Archbishops. Shops, cafes, and restaurants abound. The hotel is beautifully decorated, spacious, has a wonderful breakfast and friendly, attentive staff. Ask for a room with the Cathedral view!
