Our group was divided by the experience -some of us were slightly disappointed by the portion sizes as they still felt hungry after a beer, a galette, a crepe and coffee. However, given the prices of the dishes, it's not surprising that the portions were on the smallish side. I guess the idea is to order multiple galettes/crepes according to your hunger?
At any rate, there was no dispute on one point, the quality of the buckwheat galettes and the froment crepes were really good. We loved how it was cooked to buttery lacey perfection, some parts crisp and some parts soft and fluffy. Delicious!
Tiny restaurant so ring and book in advance. Not practical for those in wheelchairs. Service friendly and accommodating. Good variety of beers.

This restaurant thoroughly deserves its high TripAdvisor rating. It is situated in a fairly nondescript road, maybe 15 minutes away from the City centre. There is a sofa area for your aperitif and an elegant, unfussy, dining area. Having made a reservation well in advance for our dinner we were given an excellent table.
Menu choices are slightly limited but the food served is fantastic. With great attention paid to the taste combinations / complexity of the dishes. Our starter, the boeuf rouleau was superb and a credit to the chef.
The house cocktail was very popular on the night of our visit. Wine pairings are excellent. All-in-all we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and I recommend the restaurant highly.

There are a maximum of 30 seats in this resto, so reserve. We had the €51 menu (two entrees, one plat de poisson, and one dessert, though actually there were also amuses bouches and a pre-dessert in addition.) It's also possible to have the €51 menu with a meat main course, or €61 for both meat and fish. Note that patrons don't get to choose: it's a blind menu. Our amuse bouche was a sabl´e with melon and cheese. The first entree was a fondant de seiche (squid) on a bed of red cabbage with an orange/vinegar/sesame sauce. The second entree was poached oysters de Rhuys with tomato (fantastic.)
The main course was lotte (monkfish) perfectly prepared, as in not over-cooked, but tender and tasty, with a caviar d'aubergine, lobster butter, a bit of cabbage, plus peas and cherries. The pre-dessert was a tuile (thin "cracker") with tarragon sorbet, strawberries, and mozzarella. Sounds strange, tasted wonderful. The main dessert had three flavors: red peppers, chocolate, and raspberries, plus rhubarb and strawberry sorbet.

When I was told there was a senegalese restaurant in nantes...I was dubvious.
But the word of mouth was good and I was fed up of the french palette...so I gave it a try.
I was not disappointed.
This guy has put quite an effort in a nicely decorated, very clean and yummy senegalese bistro.
He has open up to caraibean influences allowing nice rum treats (like the Ti'punch, or his yummy "rhum arrange") making it more festive for the french public.
But at the same time he kept the best and a wide selection of senelagese gastronomy.
The Tieboudienne (national dish) was nearly perfect (he did not you the "yet"_ a fermented seafood_ that gives an carateristic and unique twist to the dish) in order not to scare off the locals. But other wise I had a full blast!!!
Go, enjoy and support the guy!! A little food diversity is more than needed here!

We decided to see why this restaurant had such a high rating for a hole in the wall. Getting downtown by car is a huge pain; recommend taking the tram instead. Anatolia only has 10-12 tables but very friendly service and tasty Turkish cuisine. Warning - very little English spoken by anyone there.

Looking for a restaurant near the Raddisson Hotel and found this gem. Very relaxed, staff were so friendly and helpful to the two English whose French is laudable. We had the Chefs taster menu with wine......what more can we say. The chef chose what we ate and it was great and he excellently catered for my husbands dairy free diet. The wine accompinament was well chosen. Staying at the Raddisson, go here over the places on Place Aristide - no contest.

The dishes were excellent, as was the service. We doubt you could find food of such quality (ingredients, preparation and presentation) for such a reasonable price, anywhere else. The service was polite and attentive, which added to the overall dining experience. Thank you to all.

I came to Nantes for the weekend for the 4th or 5th time and came to Le Bistro des Enfants. It's absolutely the best restaurant in the area by far.
The service is friendly, personalized and attentive.
The prices are very reasonable.
The food is to die for. Menu changes all the time but amazing every time.
A must is the Tarte fine aux pommes, it's made on the spot and when I say wow it's wowser!
Love this place
