Reviews on Seafood food in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. Nakhon Si Thammarat (Thai: นครศรีธรรมราช, pronounced [ná(ʔ).kʰɔ̄ːn sǐː tʰām.mā.râːt]; from Pali Nagara Sri Dhammaraja) is a city (thesaban nakhon) in southern Thailand, capital of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and the Nakhon Si Thammarat District. It is about 610 km (380 mi) south of Bangkok, on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. The city was the administrative center of southern Thailand during most of its history. Originally a coastal city, silting moved the coastline away from the city. The city has a much larger north to south extension than west to east, which dates back to its original location on a flood-save dune. The modern city centre on the train station is north of Old Town. As of 2005, the city had a population of 105,417.

It locate near Grand park hotel. It's old local food, may be many year operate from gen to gen. The price of seafood is not high compare to the food quality and taste. The food is not too much spice, but still in southern style, so easy to eat both for Thai and foreigner.I recommend Pla Krapong tod nampla (Sea bass deep fried with fish sauce), Poo gon nueang (Carb meat steam), Bai miang pad khai (Miang leaves stir fried with egg).I pretty sure that you will love and taste it

Bao (à¹à¸à¸), as in 'bow' of the ship, is the chef/ proprietor whose passion for food is evident from the moment your dishes punctually arrive. The first fragrant whiff, the attractive presentation, then...that first mouthful! In an atmospheric setting, this vessel sails in uncharted waters, where others have feared to navigate; delivering quality food and service in Nakhonsrithammarat, at value-for-money prices. This seemed unfeasible, even several years ago. Bao has timed it perfectly. The marketplace is ripe for this business as is proved by the rapidly swelling number of clientele. The ample car park fills as the evening progresses. Sample this growing restaurant quickly, before you have to join an inevitable queue. There's fresh delicious fare; steamed fish, fried fish, cephalopods, shellfish, meats, crunchy vegetables and curries all prepared and served with love by the fantastic staff who instantly recognise your preference for unobtrusive interaction, or a friendly smile and chat. This service is rare in NST but carefully crafted by the travelled owner as intrinsic to the flourishment of his forward-looking establishment. Yes, 'you're the customer', but they are the business!!Enjoy
