The Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort enjoys one of the most spectacular views in all of Africa. The lodge sits at about 7,000 feet, from which elevation it enjoys magnificent views to the west and east. The Vistas stretch from the sparkling waters of Lake Naivasha to jogged volcanic crater of Mount Longonot and, beyond, the sloping shoulders of the Aberdare Mountains - Kenya's most important watershed.
The ambience was good with hospitable staff. Enjoyed the conference facilities and social activities within the lodge. The restaurants were offering good continental dishes, they have a good golfing facility and tennis court for those who would like to venture into sports and would be ideal for family vacation

From the top of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley you can see Lake Naivasha sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. Just an hours drive from Nairobi, Naivasha is one of the gems in a necklace of Rift Valley lakes. Perfect for both active and leisure travelers, Lake Naivasha Country Club offers an abundance of activities to please all visitors to Nairobi, Kenya. The resort dates back to the 1930s and has since been transformed into a sprawling 55-acre property with a variety of accommodations and guest facilities, including cottages, a swimming pool, and sumptuous gourmet dining. For adventurers, the nearby Crescent Island is a haven for zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and giraffes
Stayed there with my family of 12. Amazing service. Wonderful location. Forgot my passports in the room safe. They sent the passport in another taxi and I got them at Nairobi airport. Cannot praise the management enough.

I have no words to describe how happy I was. I visited the place for six days the staff was great and wow wow wow. Good job for the chef Mr Munialo ❤❤❤❤your food I would dream of everyday excellent. Miriam the waiter was fantastic always served with a smile. The rooms great though I wish it was one per family sharing with a stranger is hard though I didn't have a neighbour because of the season. Cliff has the best view. Gloria did a good job in anything we needed. Boat ride was good. Very quiet place to unwind from the busy Nairobi. I would recommend the hotel and go back there anytime

LAKE NAIVASHA CRESCENT CAMP Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is located on the shores of a fresh water lake in Kenya. 90 minutes drive North West of Nairobi, outside the Naivasha Town along Moi South road. Naivasha is where the famous Crescent Bird is commonly found. The accommodation has a capacity of 20 Luxury tents. The tents have well furnished wooden floors with adequate space generally created to allow free movement inside and outside at the guests comfort. All the tents have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water with flushing toilets. The tents have an ambience and style decorated to give them traditional tent look with all the comforts of a home. They blend well and inter mingle with the yellow /Green Acacia trees giving the tents a relaxing atmosphere from the calm breeze. The Camp also offer camping facilities for bush lovers. Excellent Service & Cuisine The Camp has an onsite restaurant that serves local and international buffet options which guests can enjoy
Start with the positive. The staff is awesome and the large beds in the tents are super confortable. It was nice to enjoy the moskito protecting openings that allow you to sleep at a super nice temperature. Now the rest is a disaster and requires interaction. No water for showering (LOL), like no water at all. Common toilets were rubbish dirty. Bar and food absolutely not at the level of the luxury standards called out in the doc. Not even average compared to everything else we experienced so far. We were 2 families. All aligned. We will not come back

Perched on the hills close to Lake Naivasha, Dove Nest lodge is an ideal getaway location for travelers seeking mid range ambient accommodation. With good service and clean facilities you would be hard pushed to find a better priced option in Naivasha area. Dove Nest is with great simple accommodation and home-cooked food in the restaurant. Lakeside activities can be arranged upon request. We offer state of the art conference facilities and team building grounds that can be used for social functions as well.
Dovenest Lodge and Peppercorn "resort" ( a sister company) is not even within Naivasha let alone near Lake Naivasha. Its a good 8 to 10 Kilometer away from Lake Naivasha without ANY green and open spaces. Food options are very very limited to traditional african dishes and the lodge being 4 km off the main road and another 4 or 5 km from Naivahsa, we had to put up with whatever was available. We were excitedly waiting for the bonfire that night but it was a huge let down as it was next to the the pool area and there was hardly space enough for 10 guests at a time. Then the Music started! we had to leave as soon as they turned up the volume. A huge Speaker at the pool area started to blare out loud music which could be heard till our rooms upstairs a good 300 mtrs away! thank god we weren't given the cottages which were NEXT to the pool area because the blaring speakers lasted well into the night till almost 1 am!! The following day, at 6 am, a nearby church started their preaching on loud speakers! So if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and tranquil place for a night, Dovenest is definitely not the place to choose. The rates too were quite expensive considering there was absolutely NOTHING to enjoy within their compound!!! Pool water was freezing cold and absolutely nowhere to lounge as there are neither open nor any green spaces anywhere. is just a 1 or 2 acre property crammed with wooden maisonettes, some cottages, a dining hall, a bar at the poolside and a conference room above the bar. Waste of time and total waste of money!!!

Colourful, cozy hotel in green and quiet Lakeview area, within walking distance from all services and nearest wildlife park. Hotel is furnished with all-Kenyan furniture and African interior design elements. We strongly support local handicraft businesses and communities.
A very affordable hotel in a quiet, welcoming and creative environment. Clean and tidy room. Sari was very helpful in arranging activities and giving tips. Good homemade food at good prices. Nice staff who took good care of me. I will be happy to return!
