Near ANA Crown Plaza Nagasaki Gloverhill Hotel, we found some banners that said "Toruko Raisu" or "Turkish Rice" and since we had heard about this strangely named Nagasaki dish, we decided drop by here after visiting Oura Church and the Glover Garden complex in the morning. They say this "Toruko Raisu" is occasionally served in Osaka and Kobe, but Nagasaki is where you can have it everywhere. No other Kyushu region has it, they say. On a plate are pilaf (fried rice) and spaghetti Neapolitan (available in Japan only), topped with a deep-fried tonkatsu with sauce. You'll never find this in Turkey! Besides this, they have a wide range of Japanese Western foods plus some purely Japanese. This is a very small restaurant with less than half a dozen tables probably run by a family who love a Japanese professional soccer player.

I had breakfast here, which was delicious (Y530, eggs, toast, salad, coffee) but the main draw is the decoration: wood panelled walls, brown leather seats, locals drinking coffee at the counter, very friendly owners :)

This café is on the 5th floor of Amu Plaza Nagasaki and is a very convenient place to visit! Umino is known for their fruit sandwich (apparently they have been featured in local news). They were not stingy with their fruits (banana, mango, strawberry, orange, kiwi) and the bread was so soft and the cream so light!!! Was really tempted to pack some back to my hotel during the subsequent days.Additionally, the staff were really kind and patient with me as I ordered in English.

Nagasaki specialty coffee specialty cafe restaurant that produced hit products such as Ryoma cappuccino and Dejima coffee Castella! Ownerbarista It is a shop of Shinji Noda. Please have a pizza, pasta, and cappuccino while watching the port of Nagasaki
I went there twice, first to relax while drinking coffee, an second time for dinner.Outdoor seating in the best! Even in a very hot, those cafe mocha and cappuccinos with the faces of Sakamoto Ryoma and Iwasaki Yataro (founder of Mitsubishi) are very tempting, so we tried them, and there were very good, not just a photo opportunity. Service was good, they offered us an English menu.

Not so many restaurants have as nice view as this one. Located just under the observation deck you get a nice view over the city while eating. The champon set that I ate was good and the service was fast.

Tsuruchan was an atmospheric cafe that still maintains the retro vibe with some of the same decorations it had since it opened in the 1920âs. Its signature dish is the Toruko (Turkish) rice which is basically donkatsu over rice with curry sauce served with a portion of spaghetti on the side. While not the most original or unique dish and slightly overpriced, it tasted good. Another popular dish was their desert Nagasaki Milk Shake which was just shaved ice with vanilla flavor. It was one of the more unique places to dine in Japan.
