We had an enjoyable evening here. It was a change to have food with a European influence however I chose the Chef’s Special which was large prawns done in an Asian style which were absolutely delicious. All the sautéed vegetables which came with them made the dish just perfect. My husband had the Beef Tenderloin which although the taste was good it was a little chewy.I am afraid we were less than impressed with the wine by the glass and my white wine measure was so small it was only a few mouthfuls. We did however try some of the infused Rum which was really good and I could have probably continued drinking it all night! Try the caramel and the strawberry.Staff were friendly and service was good.

Aside from the amazing views and fantastic food the hospitality at Kumudra is like nothing I have ever experienced. Thomas and all his wonderful staff went way above and beyond to make our stay in Hsipaw one of the most memorable in Myanmar. The pizzas are delicious and the homemade bread and pasta is amazing.

As guests at the hotel, we ate here for two dinners and two breakfasts. All meals were very good. Breakfasts - fruit, juice, pastries & breads and eggs to your preference.Dinners - on our first visit we weren't feeling hungry so we had a dipping plate: pitta breads with tomato salad, eggplant and hummus. Very tasty and more-ish. We had some local wine too which was also nice and affordable. Other international wines are available too, particularly French which i guess is courtesy of the hotel's French owners. The rest of the menu offers a variety of Western and Asian/Myanmar dishes.Service was friendly, warm and efficient too.
