Shan State (Burmese: ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်, pronounced [ʃáɴ pjìnɛ̀]; Shan: မိူင်းတႆး [mə́ŋ.táj]) is a state of Myanmar. Shan State borders China to the north, Laos to the east, and Thailand to the south, and five administrative divisions of Burma in the west. Largest of the 14 administrative divisions by land area, Shan State covers 155,800 km², almost a quarter of the total area of Burma. The state gets its name from the Shan people, one of several ethnic groups that inhabit the area. Shan State is largely rural, with only three cities of significant size: Lashio, Kengtung, and the capital, Taunggyi. Taunggyi is 150.7 km north east of the nation's capital Naypyitaw.

GINKI NYAUNG SHWE is a bar & restaurant offering Myanmar Premium Craft Beer, Cocktails & other drinks and variety of foods including Thai, Indian, European, Myanmar & Traditional Shan Cuisines.
Hahaha. Donât get the pizza. Stick to the Thai or Myanmar cuisine. Had the clay pot with vermicelli (2000 Ks) and it was good. Others had the steamed fish in banana leaf (5000 Ks) which was tasty. Heard the grilled fish (45 min wait/ 10000 Ks) is one of their best dishes. Restaurant / bar served up cocktails, hard liquors and bottles of Myanmar beer (2500 Ks). Also fresh fruit juices (2500 Ks).

This unassuming restaurant is a gem. The owner is a lovely Burmese woman who prides herself on cooking with the freshest, organic ingredients. Her homemade pesto pasta is delicious, and her pizzas were pretty good for the location. If you're in the mood for drinks, the mojitos were some of the best I've ever had. Please do support local restaurants like this one during your trip!!

Stopped here for lunch on our first day in Inle Lake. I ordered a beef curry and tea leaf salad, my wife had the local fish. Split large Myanmar beer. We sat on the roof overlooking the town, and just enjoyed the heck out of our food. The bill didn't hurt, either - about $9. My wife kept going on about her fish, so we made our way back - she got her fish, I ordered pork. Delicious again. Go here, you'll love it.

One Owl Grill is the first and tiniest restaurant opened by Asiatico Group in Myanmar. In Jully 2015, this cozy nest, home to a familly of colorful owls perched on its walls, was born at One, Yone Gyi Street. Owls (also known as âjeekwatâ) are considered
We had plain hamburger at this joint and both of us were severely poisoned. The hamburgers were not fresh heavily spiced. I think the spices were added to conceal the not so fresh meat.

Also known as the Seven Sisters Restaurant. Listed in 2009 Lonely Planet guide for Myanmar, page 228.
Iâd been in Myanmar for just over a week before trying this place, and found its value much lower than the âFeelâ franchise. The prices are about threefold higher than what youâd expect to pay, and the flavor was bland and/or wayyy to heavy on onion, and portions otherwise small. My visit may be an anomaly since a local friend actually recommended the place after liking it last year, but was herself disappointed. If you need English speaking staff and a quaint atmosphere, go for it but otherwise youâd be much better off searching a few extra minutes for one of the many hidden hole-in the wall gems... or even Feel which is itself a delicious and much cheaper restaurant.

A cosy restaurant that serves homemade European food, made with fresh and local ingredients. You can finish your meal with a good coffee and lovely pastery.
A beautifull small hidden place owned by a Vietnamees lady. Coffee and pizza tasted great, they also deliver (we stayed at hillock villa and were very tired so we asked and they deliverd fast a hot pizza. The lady speaks very good English and knows how to make you feel comfortable. Sheâs also able to explain in a passionate way whatâs going on in her country and whatâs need to be done. She has a very nice staff and motivates them to study and get educated. Great place and lady, a must do according to me. Next to her little restaurant sheâs building a small hotel for max 10 rooms, ready around 1/1/2020Thank you very much for your review, we glad that you are happy with our service and food. We want our customers have to be happy and feel like home. We will do our best. Please come and visit again to myanmar . Hopefully, want to meet up again.Thank you very much from New Simple Life team.

i was fortunate enough to enjoy a beautiful meal at this community minded cafe, whilst part of a tour group. One of our group had previously met Jim the founder & whilst he wasnât present at our visit we had the privilege of meeting three of his family members. Their passion & commitment to providing training & support to the community was heartwarming & the quality of the food we were served was superb. As well as a bakery, & yoga studio they assist trainees in learning new skills to enable them to secure future employment.Special thanks to Blossom, her sister & brother for making us feel so welcome.Highly recommended.Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and comments!
