For what is seemingly a little place, they put out great breads. I had been searching for a good crusty bread with soft insides to serve with Italian food and found the here. Rustic loaf is what it's called Also the multi seeded loaf for toast.

Alchemy offers a good variety for dinner. They bring very good garlic bread. We shared a salad of greens with pecans, cranberries and so much more. I tried the famous meatloaf with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, real comfort food. My husband had duck breast with beets that he enjoyed. The atmosphere is lively and the service is good.

They roast the coffee right there. Coffee is rich and flavorful. They make the usual assortment of specialty drinks.

My husband considered this the best omelet he's ever had as well as excellent cottage fried potatoes with salsa. The salsa was not piquant which is how we both prefer it! The price was reasonable. I had oatmeal which was priced well but was lukewarm.

Hand crafted, locally made ice cream and waffle cones. Flavors like; Salted Caramel, Heath Bar Crunch, Malted Milk Balls. 16 ice cream flavors, and 4 sorbets. The good life is family, friends, a community like Murphy, and a place like JoMa’s, where all are welcome to take a moment to relax and enjoy a special time in the day. It is our goal to make our guests feel like family, and to serve them the most uniquely handcrafted and delicious ice cream they have ever tasted. Modern upscale atmosphere.
JoMa's makes all their own ice cream, offering it in various flavors and presentations, and they are all good. The ice cream stands out for its richness; this is no grocery store stuff. The place is clean and efficiently set up. The walk up counter is staffed by the owner or young people from the small town, so lots of people know each other and that gives it a good atmosphere. There are tables inside and out on the sidewalk, which gives you options depending on the weather. A nice place to stop after dinner elsewhere on Main Street.

Pride in the Family owned and run operation makes this place something special. Everything is so tasty. Treat yourself! We do every chance we get. Prices are so reasonable. Fresh fruit, veggies and homemade jams, mustards and syrups are great extras at this superb bakery.

So seems crazy, but choices open on Mon or Tues are far between in Murphys. Firewood is always there, always consistent, good pizza, good burgers, good burritos, great chicken strips. Reasonably fast, as reasonably priced as you will get in Murphys.
My only real gripe, in the summer if they are going to keep it open air with the door open, put in a few bug zappers to kill the darn flies.

Nelson's is the quintessential cute-little-candy-provisioner in a cute-little-gold-rush-town. No trip to Murphys would be complete without a visit. Though expensive when buying in any volume, I just can't not go in for treats each time I come to town... be it for a few pieces or a few pounds (hostess gifts)! The pumpkin caramels shown in the photo are wonderfully addicting, though only seasonally available in autumn. Currently they have uber-charming, giant, handmade candy-canes among the seasonal items. Try the "Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate with Sea Salt" for an unforgettable example of their confectionery skills. They are always, always, always one of the favorites (usually THE favorite) anytime I give a selection as a gift.

My wife surprised me with a birthday party at Ironstone Vineyards. Awesome venue, with reception and dinner set up in the cave!), and excellent service from Skye and her team.
Very professional, prompt, and courteous. The table was set beautifully, with very cool lanterns, candles, and votives. Food quality was excellent as well, from the passed appetizers to the served dinner.
A class act! Highly recommended.
