This Venetian island has been world-renowned for centuries for its blown glass creations, from jewelry to tableware to sculptures. Visits here often include a tour of one of its fascinating glass factories, demonstrations of how it’s done—and of course, a visit to at least one of the affiliated showrooms and shops.

We booked in Murano by mistake, and we were so happy we did! Nice to be just a ferry ride away to Venice and all the other tourists. Great place to be, quiet but still enough to do. The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and made our tie there that much more enjoyable!

The NH Collection Venezia Murano Villa is a unique, luxury hotel located on the historical island of Murano in the Venetian Lagoon. Close to Piazza San Marco and Ponte di Rialto, the building was formerly the De Majo glass factory, famous for producing hand-blown Murano glass. The hotel retains the stunning glass furnace chimney, now offering boutique accommodation with modern comfort.
In the middle of my stay but felt I should flag early how beautiful and bespoke the spa area is here. A lovely list of treatments - I spent two hours there with therapist Elizabeth - she is amazing ! I have had many spa treatments all around the world and this was the very best. As well as being a really lovely friendly lady Elizabeth is experienced in holistic therapy and really knows her stuff ! Only thing missing is a plunge pool / hot tub in the spa otherwise would have been 5 stars all round. Thank you again Elizabeth for such a warm welcome xxx

What are the benefits of staying in Murano? And why Murano and Hotel Murano Palace attracts more than Venice? - The island of Murano has a strategic location at the center of the lagoon that allows, compared to Venice, connections faster and easier. In fact, from Venice "Marco Polo" you can use the direct waterbus "Alilaguna Blue" and in 25 minutes arrive to Murano (1 ° stop "Murano Colonna") and in only 3 minutes walk to the hotel. - From Santa Lucia train station and from Piazzale Rome depart ACTV waterbus Line 3 (Direct Murano) - 1 ° stop "Murano Colonna." - The connection to Venice is guaranteed all day and night. - Practical and convenient for guests arriving by water taxi as the hotel overlooking the canal. - Convenient, since only a few meters away is the ferry to the islands of Burano and Torcello. - Few people know that every 10 minutes there is a boat that in just 8 minutes reach Venice. - Murano is also greatly appreciated by our guests as far away from the chaos of the city of Venice, enjoy a quiet and relaxing. - Murano Palace offers charming rooms furnished with fine fabrics in '700 Venetian style and is located in a prestigious location in the heart of the island which faces one of its main channels - the Rio dei Vetrai where are the major stores and more prestigious names in the glass like Murano Barovier and Toso, Venini, Berengo Studio, Lino Tagliapietra, Pino Signoretto, Dino Rosin.

The unsophisticated and friendly Hotel al Soffiador is located on Murano, the famous Island of Glass, in the romantic and picturesque Venetian Lagoon. The hotel takes its name from the thousand year-old craft of glass blowing and the 'soffiador' that is the name given to the master craftsman who uses a long pipe to blow the glass to create his works of art. Murano's central location in the Lagoon and the regular round-the-clock public transport system allows visitors to reach not only Venice with ease, but also all of the Lagoon's other enchanting islands such as Burano, Torcello, Sant'Erasmo and the Lido. At the same time a stay on this small island, far from the busiest tourist thoroughfares, offers you the chance to savour a one-of-a-kind experience, a slower pace of life and an atmosphere of times gone by.
We arrived in advance in the morning and it was possible to get key of room. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. Friendly staff avalaible. A little old fashion decoration, but quiet and comfortable. Good for value in Venise for a 2 stars hotel.

Ca' Mazzega offers four holiday apartments in Venice strategically located and facing the Grand Canal of Murano. All apartments are equipped with all comforts (security door, air conditioning, SAT TV, washing machine, dishwasher) and the furnishing is typically Venetian with some antiques, prints and glass chandeliers from Murano.
We only stayed two nights but would have loved to be able to extend it. The staff were very helpful and arranged our arrival so we didn't need to divert via their office. The apartment was lovely, furnished with classic furniture, and a well thought out kitchen. Situated right next to one of the main boat stops on the island of Murano, it made trips to Venice itself, Burano and Torcello easy. There is a Co-op supermarket nearby for self-catering, and we had a choice of three sizes of espresso maker! Live like a local!

A little anxious due to the low price, but could not have been more surprised. A lovely little gem in Muranos glass jewel. The hotel was clean, easy to find, and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Ideal base location for checking out the venetian lagoon islands. The two outdoor terraces are ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening before retiring to a very comfortable bed. It has an almost baroque boutique style that just seems to perfectly fit the venetian style, yet is not over whelming. Very well though out.
