We really enjoyed our brunch experience today at The Terrace - we've tried many of the restaurants in and around Gumusluk over the years for Turkish breakfast and I can honestly say this must be one of the most generous and delicious we've ever had (although the addition of French fries may have been one dish too many !) We had two large Turkish breakfasts between 4 people - which included home made borek (vegetarian and with meat) plus a cheese and dried fruit/walnut platter, eggs, two types of bread, 4 jams, honeys, butter, freshly made pancakes, salads and courgette flowers all served with tea plus water. The price was incredible value at TL25 per breakfast so including loads of extra drinks our meal was TL75 in total- car parking is very easy and the views on the top terrace are fabulous. Don't be put off that it's on the Migros site - you would never know and the staff are just fantastic. Plus great choice of music - we hope to go back and try one evening with live music - Friday's and Sunday's

What an excellent surprise! Though I had noticed the "Hayat" sign on the road from Gumusluk to Turgutreis, I never took the time to stop and have a peek. Quite a mistake that was corrected thank to the TripAdvisor comments! The place: colorful, warm, definitely goes with the name of the place (meaning Life in Turkish). We ate under a huge fig tree and had the opportunity to taste some of its fruits :) Kids were really happy to be able to walk around and take some rest in one of the hammocks. There were also a lot of places where to enjoy a nice drink and relax. The food: We went there for breakfast and took the Hayat Khavalti Tabagi with some Cigara Boreks, omelette and fried egg with sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage). The boreks were awesome (best ones for me so far) and my younger kid almost immediately requested a second omelette (we kindly explained him we first had to empty all that was on the table :)). There was nothing on the table that I didn't like (cheese, home made jam, kind of a dried tomato tapenade, olives, great salade, mix of cold vegetables, kaymac/honey, white cheese with jam). The bread was also great (finally something different from the white "boulot" bread!).Drink: we went for fresh juices (told you, healthy). Carrot for my wife, super happy to have fresh carrot juice, and mixed fruits for the kids. It was quickly emptied (not because of the size, but due to their success) so we took some home made lemonade. Kids loved it and I had to insist to be able to taste it... yummy!Service: smiling, present, greatOn our way out we had the opportunity to chat with the very friendly owner of the place. The general experience was so positive that we decided to immediately book a table for an evening meal. So, more news to come in the near future.

Even though this is a relatively new restaurant, they already have a lovely relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views over the Gumusluk bay. The Turkish breakfast is delicious, home made and a good selection. We canât wait to go back in again in February. Would definitely recommend. Also, looking forward to trying meals in the evening especially on the music nights.
