We had great 4 days at the hotel. The location is stunning, we had nice walks in the surrounding area, did some sledding on one of the not operational pistes. This ski area is suited for a couple of days skiing, when we were there, 9 kms of pistes were operating. The ski rental options are not too good, bring your own. I couldnt find comfortable skiboots, I skied in 3 different pairs, all of them were terrible. Food was good, out of 4 dinners only 1 was not good - on a Monday. The coffee at the bar is excellent, almost like in Italy. Staff is superfriendly, at times too busy, its not easy to order drinks for dinner. Rooms were nice, we had a lovely view of the piste and mountains with a nice terrace, beds were comfortable. Sound isolation between rooms is not good, but the hotel was very quiet after 10 pm. The only real negative was the parking situation, you have to park by the side of an unpaved road with not much space. In front of the hotel there are 10 parking spaces max (apparently only for loading and unloading for an hour - this is not the case, most of the cars were there for days), although you can see many more cars being parked in every possible way. In mid March it was easily possible to reach the hotel by car, which was much more convenient than having to use the cable car with all the luggage.

In the Raduha House one will be pampered by our culinary knowledge (Chef of the Year), tradition, originality and unique new housing units (a tree house and a hayloft) and taken to a nostalgic world from children's books, where one stops, smiles and escapes from adulthood and crazy world that passes us by. Each accommodation has a whirlpool and a beautiful view on river Savinja that flows by.
This is a very long way from glamping. Yes, it is a tree house at the back of a village street and a restaurant worthy of a Chef's Table tv episode, but it is much more than that. Filip Breznik welcomed us with wine in the garden and gave us maps and suggestions for day trips and hikes. I suspect many people overlook Luče, but it is convenient for the airport yet feels deep in rural, river and mountain Slovenia. We hiked in the Logar Valley and had a trip to Velika Planina, all accessible by car. We loved our tree level room which was compact but comfortable. No fan but open windows were not a problem as minimal insect life. I adored the hammock and the jacuzzi with river views. Plus evening walks along the riverbank. Walking is highly recommended as Chef Martina cooks up a storm, drawing on the traditional food of her family womenfolk and the superb seasonal produce of Slovenia. There is no menu and you really have to like cheese and yoghurt to get the most out of this cuisine. For us, this was no problem and we had dinner all 3 nights. Expect dishes such as goat pate rolled in cheese with an apple cider sauce or local trout with Julienne vegetables and a spelt mousse. There were mini soufflés of carrot or wild garlic, nettle or pumpkin soups, various types of delicate cheese dumplings baked or poached and many exquisite sauces. We had wine by the glass each night so we could try 100mls of 2-3 local wines, paired by Filip to suit the food. Breakfast was a plate of local cheeses with hams and salamis, freshly baked bread, jams and honey. Eggs available too and a delicious juice of pear and cinnamon. This is healing food in the Slovenian tradition of foraging and small scale garden produce. Like the famous place on Netflix, but better here and more affordable. A place to linger and enjoy Slow Travel, ideal for foodie couples with a hire car and a sense of adventure for the outdoors as well as for the food.

Just a cup of coffee in beautiful Illy cups including a chocolate candy. Next to the road but a nice relaxed local atmosphere. Grateful, because it is practically the only decent coffee place in Luče. Next to the bar the vendor machine with products from local farms.

We stayed at the Flip House. Due to the high price (145 EUR/night) and ratings on Booking (9.3), we had high expectations, but were disappointed. We went there for Christmas. 2 days before arrival received an e-mail that breakfast wouldn’t be served due to the Christmas holidays. It was an unpleasant surprise though. The house is small, we barely had enough space, poorly cleaned, steep stairs connecting rooms arranged throughout 4 floors, barely any storage space/wardrobe/shelves. Only two drawers under the bed, which is not very comfortable to use. Basic kitchen utensils, no drainer, only one kitchen rag. All in all the outside design is interesting, but far from user friendly and comfortable on the inside. Upon arrival there was no water in jacuzzi, unusual and certainly unseen anywhere before. Then, there was only mild water (26 C) and the receptionist said to wait a while for the water to heat up?! Well, the water didn’t heat up for the whole 3 days so we couldn’t use it! For such price, this is quite unacceptable! Especially since it was winter with scarce daylight and therefore limited outdoor options. The reception wasn’t open on Christmas day, so we were asked to call them by phone in case of any problems. But it turned out that no one answered or returned a call!? When we complained about the poor service, we got a 10% discount, yet I am still very dissatisfied. It seemed that the owner and staff cared more about their holidays then the well-being of their guests.

The accommodation offers a great opportunity to meet the history of this area in a very modern and comfortable way. It is very neat, cosy and equipped with everything you might need while traveling. It is near many popular destinations in this area so you can enjoy hiking, riding a bike, climbing or fishing. However, the best part of the visit were very kind hosts who make you feel very welcome and feel at home! Thank you and see you soon :)

The campsite is small, bit still all are very very nice and helpfull. There is a lot of shadow if needed. The river is just passing by so you go and cool yourself and your drinks. The kids are having so much fun! It also a great starting point if you like the mountains. They have bikes for rent and kayaks. The obly two things a bit on down side is that you need to have a long cabke for electricity. The second thing is that the hit water is quickly gone. But still this should not ruin your vacation. We will surly be back soon.

The appartment is fully equiped with dishwasher, big LCD Phillips TV,internet + WiFi, satelite TV programme, refrigerator and many more. Floor heating is disposed on entire appartment. The ski center is ideal for families with large ski slopes.
