Front Desk Staff at Holiday Inn Express recommended this place to eat, and it sure was a great recommendation. Beautiful view and wonderful people. Alex our server was excellent. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone--- the food here is delicious.

We had an amazing meal at Lord Fletcher's, my husband really enjoyed his seafood risotto and swordfish and my walleye was phenomenal. The walleye was even more flavorful with their delicious tartar sauce, I have never been a huge tartar sauce fan but I loved Lord Fletcher's tartar sauce. I also recommend the wild rice soup. Our server was George and he was awesome and the combination of great food and a great server made for a wonderful evening!

A bit small inside, but there are a couple of booths and bar stools. The ice creams is really good. Quality and Taste are great. Prices are pretty good too. Certainly better than a Coldstone. You can get more than ice cream also. Licks is right off the main street that runs through Excelsior. If you go to this area, you have to stop by this place and get some ice cream. It's well worth the visit. You won't be disappointed!

Do not miss this place for breakfast/brunch on Saturday or Sunday. Huge omelets, a variety of "bennies" or eggs Benedict choices, bloody Mary's, hash browns...all the breakfast favorites are here. $55 for three people. We went with a group of 9...no problem with seating or service.

Dakota Junction is located near the center of downtown Mound, Minnesota, near the corner of Shoreline Drive and Commerce Boulevard. It is also located right next to the Dakota Rail Bike Trail. This place is open for lunch and dinner during the week and is also open for breakfast on the weekends. The bike trail is an old railroad line and the restaurant was built to look like an old skinny train depot.
I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon in mid-April with my wife for a snack during a bike ride and generally enjoyed it. We were thirsty and stopped for a soda and a cookie (although we decided not to get a cookie at the last minute). They also sell beer but we were biking and did not feel like one. We ordered two Diet Pepsi’s and they gave us two large glasses of ice and we drank them while sitting at one of their outdoor picnic tables. It took a while to get served as the cook was cooking and had to yell for someone to help me at the counter (and the people in the back did not hear her). The young women who finally helped me was extremely friend and helpful.
Overall I enjoyed stopping here for a break and think that the Dakota Junction is a great place to stop if you are biking on the Dakota Rail Trail. I watched the cook make an omelet while I was waiting and it looked awesome. I plan to stop here and eat breakfast on my next bike ride on this trail.

Stopped here for a quick drink and bread. The drive-thru service was very quick, the staff person very friendly, I was in and out within a minute. Great Mint Condition mocha and lemon bread as well!

This little ice cream parlor sits just a few feet away from the Dakota rail bike path, and a few yards away from the Mound lost lake public access. It's a great location with delicious ice cream in a cone, in a malt or in a dish. They provide many selections, and even though there is often a line, they are courteous enough to provide samples quickly and serve you just as fast. Great little non-chain ice cream stop.

Scotty B's Restaurant is a family restaurant located in downtown Mound, MN. Scotty B's has been providing home-made food, including burgers, soups from scratch, and daily specials for over 27 years. The restaurant also offers carry-out on all our items.
I stopped into Scotty B's for a quick lunch. I was impressed right away with how clean everything looked. There were just a few people in there, so service was really fast. I ordered a hamburger with guacamole and bacon on it and fries. The meal came quickly. The hamburger was of size and a great bun! The fries were good too. Nothing fancy, but it really was good. I had intended to take half the meal home with me and heat it up for supper, but it was so good I just ate it all!

The Navarre DQ is always a great stop for ice cream in the summer (it is closed in the winter). It was the same as usual on a visit last week. We enjoyed our mini-blizzards and hot dogs at one of the outdoor picnic tables.

We visit this Drive-Inn frequently. Love the onion rings, fried chicken and ribs! Very reasonably priced.
You order at the call stand located at each parking stop and your food is brought to you in your car by a carhop!
Every Thursday evening the Drive Inn hosts a classic car show that is always fun!
Thanks to Dave Benihoff for keeping this great joint going!
Open March through September.
