Private house overlooking the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss with far reaching views to the ruined Roman city of Volubilis. Open everyday with prior reservation for exclusive dining experience. Fresh and modern Moroccan inspired food and drinks. Produce sourced from the souk and our kitchen garden.
Moulay Idriss is the most enchanting town. Walking up through the green painted walls to the gorgeously curated home of Mike where the view will simply take your breath away. Here you will eat delicious food and experience some truly generous hospitality. Thank you to By Prior Arrangement and Mike Richardson for this very special experience.

See my review of the hotel. We ate very well and would have had a beer except the owner wanted us to respect Ramadan which was fair enough!

We stopped here for lunch. Biggest mistake of my trip in Morocco. If you're hungry, best snack on some oranges and nuts and wait for the next town. I can't even imagine what it must be like to stay in the hotel. They had nothing we wanted from the menu, served the owners friends first, and made us wait 2 hours for cold disgusting food. I had to go into the kitchen to supervise.
Do yourself a favour and keep driving.

Dar Zerhoune has a fabulous roof Terrace where you can relax and enjoy mint tea, traditional moroccan cuisine (moroccan salads, tagines, vegetarian pastilla, vegetable soup and garlic bread) or afternoon tea with hassle free views of Volubilis, the Mountains, valley and the town of Moulay Idriss. We cater for vegetarian and dietary requirements when booked in advance.
5 of us headed to DAR ZERHOUNE lunch after our PILGRIMAGE to the ancient ROMAN village and we were rewarded with an ABSOLUTELY marvelous roof top shady Terrace divine lunch … lovely ladies serving us with gentle smiling radiance afforded the 5 of us with a cherished travel memory for eternity .the frozen melon ginger mint pops were ambrosia !

Restaurant in a riad in the old medina of meknes in a typical Moroccan setting that offers Moroccan dishes and tajine, pastillas, and couscousse you must order in advance for these dishes, prepare them as at home everything is organic and healthy in the riad, we also make daily specials for lunch, for Italian style pizzas with a dough so fine and tasty according to the ingredients you like, the pizzas made to measure, with all the fresh products on the market. You are welcome with friends or family. Amel et David maboheme
In order to cook a proper tajine (local delicacy), it needs several hours of cooking, and this place does it right! Though, that sometimes means pre-ordering so they can prepare for all of the guests.
If you have been travelling for a while and want a taste of home, the pizza is also great!
