Long fought over by warring empires, the city of Yerevan survived centuries of foreign occupation, finally becoming independent with the fall of the Soviet Union. This capital city, a center of Armenian culture, has celebrated its freedom with a flurry of construction and a growing population. Despite this push forward, history survives in Yerevan - The Institute of Ancient Manuscripts houses books dating back to the 9th century, and the ruins of the Erebuni Fortress, built in 782 BC, still stand.

Seating outside and inside. Also a great selection of snacks that could be small meal in itself and nobody would be the worse for that. On the contrary, delightful staff and customers too. I went with a friend, but would be happy going by myself and would not feel frozen out. Great place! Great wine!

Tavern "Old Zangezur", founded in December 2013, became a popular and pleasant place, not only for people from Zangezur, but also for the residents and guests of the capital. Our main goal was to unite people from Zangezur in Yerevan, as well as to restor
So glad we left this place in time. When we arrived the only tables taken where a large tour group finishing their meal. When we were ordering the waitress was short and of the four things we wanted to order two were not available. She goes on to tell us that the kitchen is very busy and we should only order barbecue. We question her seeing as the tour group was leaving and we were the only ones left in the restaurant. She literally was trying to get us out of the restaurant before we even had a chance to order. Then when we said we needed a few minutes she started saying âwhat is the problem?â very aggressively. When I explained that she didnât have some things we wanted she stormed off and thatâs when we decided to leave. This place is only for tourists. Luckily we went to the Tavern only 2 minutes walking distance. The food there was excellent and the same prices for a much fancier place. Do yourself a favor do not go here. I cannot personally attest for the food but when the tour group left the amount of food left behind was a telling sign that is was not very good. Thank you for review:) If you test our dushies, you don't write this review.

This being a restaurant, you would expect me to talk about food, but I first want to emphasize how lucky we were to meet the great people who run this place: particularly Tatev, the ultra generous girl who helped us solve a serious problem we had with the Airbnb apartment we had rented, right next to the restaurant. After spending over 30 minutes helping us, once we got settled, we had dinner there: another pleasant surprise! A very varied selection of great tapas, a very lively atmosphere and reasonable price. Highly recommendable!!!!!! (And thank you, again, Tatev!)

After reading some reviews about this restaurant we decided to visit for dinner. There is a wine room where you can choose what you would like to drink, either bottle or glas. My husband was eating Peking duck and he was in heaven during the whole meal and then need to be mentioned that we have been in China eating the same.
