I had the chicken pie which was very good and my partner had a steak. Both meals we were fully satisfied with and the price was reasonable. Unlike the stay in a room of the hotel itself which was very substandard.Hi Michael, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the food and found it reasonably priced. We understand your stay wasn't quite what you expected from our basic, pub-style rooms upstairs, and have addressed this with you separately.Regards, Belinda

I have not been here for a few years and was delighted by both the delicious cocktails on offer and the superior bar menu. Probably the most refreshing cocktail I have ever had laden with kiwi fruit, I could feel it actually doing me good! The salads were wonderful, the calamari nicer than coastal locations I have tried, and the pork ribs so tender and tasty! I will be back for sure! Hi 349becs,Thanks for visiting The Hampden and taking the time to leave a review. It's fantastic to hear you enjoyed the food and drinks - our mixologist and chefs will be thrilled! We look forward to seeing you back for another visit soon.
