We enjoyed a three-wine tasting in the afternoon (happy hour is 3-5). The decor was dark and classy yet comfy, and we enjoyed our wines...so much that we bought two bottles to take home! We'd definitely go again. It was a nice and relaxing kid-free zone!

Petra Wine Bar is a great place for their selection of wine and small plates. The food is delicious. It definitely has that farm to table vibe. The lamb meatballs are fabulous. The service was just okay at the beginning, but improved as the evening went on.

There are several wine bars in Truckee. This is the best. Dean and a Christa, the owners are usually there, are very knowledgeable and provide an excellent selection of wine. Wine cost from $10 to $200 a bottle. They specialize in smaller worldwide wineries. There is a wine bar where you can have a taste, a flight, a glass or buy a bottle and consume with friends. Breads, crackers and a large selection of cheeses are available. They have a monthly wine club if you are local and offer special tasting every Thursday in summer and the 3 rd Thursday of the month in winter.
