We enjoyed our visit in this cozy wine restaurant very much. The ambiance of this wine-"library" was a pleasant place to enjoy a glass of delicious wine and dinner. We had their complementary bread stuffed with cheese along with calamari, cuttlefish, wine, chocolate cake and a chocolate mousse-type dessert. The sauces on our main dishes were fabulous to the point we sopped up the remaining sauce with bread. The chocolate cake was superb. If the house wine was that good, one can only imagine what the others would taste like. We were happily shocked when we got the bill; it was only EUR 48! We have spent that much or more in other places for mediocre food. Wish we could return several more times. We highly recommend Viva lo Re, several blocks from Herculaneum.

A wonderful small wine bar with locals- my cousin from Pompeii comes here often. Charming decore with a vintage look. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Friendly staff and lots of choices for cheese!! Loved the roasted pork, green olives, capocola, mortadella , parmigiana hard cheese w balsamic !! Multi grain bread was hearty and different!

Really enjoyed the wine tasting the the excellent meal we had during this trip. The wines were very good and fresh. The red reserve was outstanding.. Make you visit the Russo Family winery when you are in the area.

Stumbled into this cafe on our first night in Italy after a recommendation from our hotel staff. What a great start to our holiday, we loved this bar. Staff were very friendly, food and drinks were delicious and the whole place had a great vibe.
