Second time to this restaurant. First time there: food was average but we had a great server, good wine and a window seat. So we returned with family. It was a humiliating experience at the restaurant followed by a horrible experience that night: being sick all night.Service was slow. It took over 1 1/2 hours to have dinner served. Both chicken dishes ( on pizza and on the salad) were under-cooked. Actually the chicken was still raw on the inside. We brought this to the attention of the server and the manager. The manager actually tried to get in a fight with us. And then told us not to pay and to leave. Who does that?

We had a very good dinner here. I love that the risotto had two different sizes - large and small. Perfect size and really good. The watermelon salad with olives, mint, and cheese was awesome. I couldn't get enough! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff attentive and polite. Plus, being in town allowed you to take a walk on Main street afterwards. Perfecto!

Friends invited us to join them for dinner and brought us here. They had been wanting to eat at Communal Kitchen for a while as they had heard good things about this restaurant. Good news for us was when we walked in, our table was ready...no waiting or artificial seating times here which was great as we were very hungry! We ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table, which we really liked...the spicy meatballs were terrific...and not too spicy for us. The Yucca fries, interesting but not over the top, the burrata was excellent and the candied bacon got inhaled! We tried different entrees too with the short ribs and mac & cheese being our favorites. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal...the service was first rate but not intrusive and the price reasonable for all the food/drink we ordered. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes...well, we're getting the candied bacon for sure.
