The visit at this restaurant was a welcomed surprised. Being located in a small village in Taunus one does not expect to get extraordinary food. Well this is not the case here. Food was very tasty cooked with local fresh products and very traditional. Besides the great food they also serve a variety of traditional beers. The Biergarten completes the whole experience. If you are in the area looking for something tasty to eat this is definitely the place to go.

We used to love this place, but it has changed. Some of the friendliest staff have left and the atmosphere is not the same. The interior is nice, the food is still good,they have changed the menu a little and it's still fairly expensive, although it is good quality. However, unless you are well known to the staff and therefore they are interested in you, it has become much more impersonal, which is a great shame. There used to be a fun and friendly vibe, but it has disappeared.Dear customer,thank you for taking time write us a review. I would like to say, we´re always try to satisfy every single customer with quality food, drinks and friendly service - But every day, every customer and each staff member is different. Everybody has a bad day, but we did not treat you impersonal on purpose.The last time you visited us, you were very satisfied and you had a reason to come back.And as I can say about our staff - Since our opening in 2010, just one of our staff members have left us, which is very normal. On holiday, I love places that are not 'touristy', a place where the locals go. Genusserie is such a place. It is warm, inviting and run by an exciting young couple who host you as if it were their home. Alexandra (Alex) takes care of your standard drinks orders and food (meze style cuisine) while Tim prepares the most unbelievable cocktails.Their cocktail selection is simply out of this world. I counted over 80 different rum cocktails and there were several other sections too! As it is, their rum selection includes over 250 different types!It is a short trip outside of Frankfurt (20min by train). Taxi may be more expensive, depending on where you stay. It is well worth it. You can also look them up on Facebook.

In the Kronberg old town. Sit outside on the nice terrace amongst the half timbered homes. The inside is designed more like a club than a cafe (lime green). Service is good (not great) and friendly. No English menu. Selections are varied from breakfast, salads, pasta, traditional dishes and some more international dishes (curry). I had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Good. Fresh. Chicken well prepared. Would be better with Less dressing, homemade croutons and shaved Parmesan.
