The upstairs is perfect for group meetings, baby or wedding showers, and the speakeasy is a stunning private room that would be perfect for bachelor/bachelorette parties. There is a patio area with canopies and porch swings, and another private outdoor balcony outside the speakeasy. Downstairs is charming and quaint and would be a great place to do a photoshoot for engagements or a gender reveal. The coffees that we have ordered have always been delicious and beautifully presented, as were our cheese boards and tapas. Their beer selection goes on for days and the wine list is superb. It's owned by a couple who are a beer expert from Germany and a level 3 sommelier, so she's not about to sell a bottle that doesn't pass her inspection. I absolutely adore this sublime little gem.

We rode 40 miles to try the tasting event. Our experience at these types of gatherings are usually less than friendly with people circling the wagons of their little groups and rebuffing attempts to join in. This was an all encompassing group of regulars who seemed to want us involved. The wines tasted were very affordable. As for the decor, it felt like a home. Thank you to everyone for allowing us to enjoy an experience and leaving us planning a return as Ellen's is now on our Best Places list .

We frequent 119 French and I must say it has become our favorite! The staff, environment, food/drink selection and owners are second to none! The patio is absolutely perfect for any occasion- date night or just hanging with friends is our specialty! Live music all the time and the drink specials make it even sweeter. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
