It is still the same as ever. What a shame. The lady owners are only busy with their own glass of wine, their small dog, their cigarettes and friends. No atmosphere and no personal touch of anything. It is a pity for the location is very nice with the oyster-man always present on Saturdays. The sidewalk is often dirty with the poop of their own dog. Distastefull and not very hygienic.

La Grange de Vers is a café and wine bar located on the central square in Vers Pont du Gard. Our coffee is freshly roasted by one of our owners and our wines are local and organic from our favorite wineries. All of our baked goods are made in house with f
We visited on recommendation. Not sure If they could have been any less friendly. Felt very uncomfortable and our attempts to engage with the female owner were met with monosyllabic grunts. It became obvious that geniality was saved for locals/regulars. To the owner - Remember, as an American, you too were once a visitor. Shame you can't extend the welcome that you got in France. Hey ho - my advice, don't bother unless you already belong to the clique.

Buvette à vins vivants
My friends and I were delighted to have been introduced to this new wine bar, owned by the friendly and knowledgeable Nathan and his wife Kim (she speaks English). There are outdoor tables and a pleasing interior as well. They serve cheese and a few other items, and I believe in July they will have a chef. They have a nice selection of wines and bubbly. So happy to have them here!

There is an attached auberge/guesthouse by the same name
Amazing cuisine using fresh, local produce. Run by a young married couple, the restaurant is attached to a little auberge/guesthouse in the quaint village of Flaux, less than an hourâs drive from Avignon. They were happy to accommodate our gluten-free diet and we even got some gluten-free pasta with our duck. Delicate, decorative presentation; food bursting with flavor. No menu, but the many-course meal is more than enough, changes daily, and the wine list is extensive. Must reserve ahead. Worth going out of your way for!

This restaurant is run by a husband and wife team, with the wife being the creative genius behind several house specialties and the husband running front of the house. We had an excellent starter of toast poivrée et anchois, à delicious roulé jambon et épinard, and a very smooth moelleux châtaigne. A satisfying and memorable meal

Sadly this is a review of the service and attitude of one of the 2 brothers as opposed to the food. Even more disappointing as we couldn't get a table last year so we were eagerly awaiting this meal. We arrived on time for our booking to a cold greeting to say the least. The next comment was "Here are the menus, I assume you're all fluent in French". As it happens I am so am always pleased to be translator but any need for the bad attitude? We then asked if there was a kids menu. He pointed to the fact that they do not have one and it is stated on the menu. Fair enough but normally people offer am alternative, for example a smaller portion! His comment was that children aren't the target market...Maybe not but we are and they will be in the future, if they have one!We left and went to one of the many other excellent restaurants in Uzes with more welcoming hosts.Cher Monsieur My brother and I we thank you very much for your review of last week. However we deeply regret that your experience with les Deux Frères dâUzès did not correspond to your expectations. There might be a misunderstanding between you and us, as our spot is first a wine cave before being a restaurant. As such, we serve a wide range of regional wines per bottle or by the glass around tapas or simple meals pairing with the selected beverages. Therefore, you might understand that we do not offer special meals for children, as they are not allowed to drink alcohol. We do hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Uzès and that you have found another restaurant which was more convenient to you and your very young child.Regards
