We stopped at this place for lunch - we sat on the verandah and enjoyed the sunshine so the slightly slow service didn't worry us. The chèvre cheese salad was lovely. A pleasant place for lunch away from the hustle and bustle of the main square.

We had only just arrived in gorgeous Saint Emilion when we came across La Cabane. It was a warm afternoon and so we sat outside and ordered a lovely cheese platter (do provide more of the gorgeous bread) and a bottle of even more lovely local red wine.Good service, atmosphere and price

Wine and cheese restaurant, sister ship of the famous restaurant Baud et Millet in Bordeaux.Fondue cheese, Raclette cheese, all you can eat 50 cheeses and famous wines from the region and abroad.
Six of us came here for lunch with our great wine tour guide Ben from B-Winetour, as we decided we wanted a simpler, lighter lunch before we went to an upmarket restaurant in the evening. Well that didnât work out!Lovely greeting from the lady proprietor, her husband who is the chef also came to greet us warmly. Seating at large oak tables in a high ceilings room dominated by a large cheese display cabinet at one end and an open fire burning vine cuttings for grilling meats at the other end of the room. Well we overordered! Cheese selections delicious, French onion soup absolutely laden with cheese, and duck sausage, Raclette that never seemed to end with Madame slicing many portions onto our plates, foie gras croque Monsieur, charcuterie plates and some decent Pouilly Fuissé to drink. We really didnât do justice to the food and I would happily return to pick up where we left off and in particular the meats grilled over an open fire.Warm service, greeted like old friends and so hospitable. To be honest itâs all a bit hazy now, but we enjoyed the visit, other than it made us less hungry for our evening meal!Just a lively lovely unique placeThank you Jerseyman1 for coming at le Bis, we are pleased to hear you where enjoying and overordering our cheeses, meat and wine, was our goal to let your group enjoy a amazing experience of French Cuisine. You made our day and week with your review best regards team Le Bis

Right down the street from the tourist office, we stopped for a light lunch and some wine and really enjoyed the experience. Sitting in the beautiful courtyard under large umbrellas was delightful as we sampled local charcuterie, an excellent bottle of Grand Cru St.Emilion (what else?) and two amazing desserts, a Lemon Tarte and the famous Souffle Grand Marnier. A great memory of our day in St.Emilion.

Dear Travelers, you are welcome.Restaurant & Bar à Vins (about 600 references). Bistronomic kitchen in season and according to the market. Twenty regional wines served by the glass. A friendly welcome and shifted in good humor.
A small, intimate place at the northern end of St. Emilion. We were warmly greeted and seated by our host Sylvan, although it was a Saturday evening and, having just arrived after a 6 hour drive, we had not made a reservation. Nevertheless, we were welcomed and enjoyed a delightful meal with foie gras, a ribeye steak for two (perfectly cooked) and a variety of other seasonal dishes. Service was attentive. We were the last to leave, and when I asked our host where I could buy some milk the next morning (Sunday, probably everything local would be closed), Sylvan sent to the kitchen and gifted us a liter of milk. Such a kind and generous gesture to folks he was unlikely to see again anytime soon. But we will be back!

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant in August 2019. We picked it based on TripAdvisor reviews as we wanted to have dinner in downtown Saint-Emilion. My boyfriend made a reservation via phone, but when we arrived at the restaurant for our 6pm (18:00) reservation, we were informed that the restaurant didnt open until 7pm (in spite of the fact that our reservation was indeed written down for 6pm), so we were forced to kill time for an hour. Upon arriving for our actual dinner, the decor of the restaurant was very cute. However, as other diners mentioned, the service was quite slow and we were itching to get out of there (although this may be our American standards). In terms of the menu, we thought it was just OK. A lot of the dishes were a bit out there compared to what we were used to, even while traveling around France. I had oysters, which were definitely fresh, but were served with several tablespoons of saltwater in each oyster. (I am not sure if this is the French style but it definitely wasn't what I was used to). My boyfriend got a sausage dish that was really out there as well. The food was OK, but we didn't think it was anything to write home about and we wished we had eaten at our hotel rather than killing time in downtown Saint-Emilion waiting to dine here.

A simple place, perfect for a lighting lunch. We each chose from a selection of platters - mainly charcuterie and cheese, served with lovely fresh bread. When we were ready to order wine, we were three samples to taste from the friendly waitress, who explained the qualities of each. The one we chose was one of the best on the visit. Very good value.
