Most Popular Wine Bar food in Province of Granada, Andalucia, Spain

Reviews on Wine Bar food in Province of Granada, Andalucia, Spain. There’s an Arabic inscription that captures the essence of Granada in a few words: “There is nothing so sad as to be blind in Granada.” The perspicacity of this declaration becomes obvious as soon as you penetrate the austere walls of the Alhambra and take in the full majesty of the architecture, carvings and fountains of the Nasrid palaces. Your ticket (which should be bought well in advance following the instructions on the attraction’s website) also affords entry to the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V and to the exquisite gardens of the Generalife. If you are celebrating a special event, or are in the market for a splurge, you can stay in the lovely Parador, right on site. Make your way down into the city via the atmospheric old quarter of the Albaicin, with its tiny craft shops and restaurants, and head for the Cathedral and Royal Chapel. Also plan a visit to the crypt for the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, the instigators of Spain’s imperial adventures to the New World and beyond. It’s worth making the short journey out of town to visit the Monasterio Cartuja, a fabulous Carthusian monastery in the baroque style. Admirers of the poet Lorca should make the effort to visit the Casa-Museo Federico Garcia Lorca in Fuente Vaqueros, about 11 miles from the city centre.

We went here to celebrate my partners birthday and what a great choice it was. The food was very good, tasty and fresh. The service was excellent. All the staff we very attentive and our waiter was brilliant. Making us feel at home, recommending great dishes when we asked, extremely good service. The only slight issue was just before the flamenco show I would liked to have ordered more drinks but didn't get time. The flamenco show itself was excellent. The room for the show is very intimate and it helps reflect the passion and emotion of the flamenco performers. Who were all excellent, the male dancer especially who had the fastest feet I have ever seen, very impressed! All in all I would recommend this place as it's a total package for a great evening in GranadaThank you very much for visiting us and for leaving this beautiful comment. We are glad to see that you liked the experience. Now you are part of the family, we hope to see you soon again.Best wishes.

We visited The Kafka Tavern on our last evening in Granada and were so glad we'd walked the extra ten minutes to find it as it featured the best wine list we encountered in a 10-day visit to Spain as well as outstanding (complimentary) tapas. It was a cold night and we were appreciative of the delicious and warming wild mushroom soup which arrived with our first glass of wine. We were keen to try wine from lesser-known regions of Spain and the bar featured a really helpful wine map and blackboard listing wine types, regions and flavours. During our evening, we tried a gorgeous range of wines from Cadiz, Toro, Almansa and Rioja accompanied by cous cous and roasted veg and ox cheeks in red wine. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and there was a nice mix of locals and tourists who visited through the evening. We thoroughly recommend a visit!Dear Michelle and Darren,It is a pleasure to read your review. For us it is very important to know the satisfaction of our customers because it will keep us trying to improve every day and discover new wines and dishes. Here you have your house.Javi.

Great place for some tapas, a short but selected list of food (goat cheese top!), wines and a beer. Super friendly service. Pretty busy but worth either empty or full :-). Difficult to find without Google Maps. A hidden gem.

Love this place, it always has a great atmosphere, full of people who are enjoying themselves. Staff seem to always want to go out of their way to help you out, from finding somewhere to sit/stand to getting you a drink as quickly as possible. Amazing service and the tapas is still as amazing as it was on my previous visits. Certainly deserves to be higher up the TripAdvisor rankings.Hello!
