We stopped here for something to eat between wine tastings in Pinhao. The barman was very friendly, engaging with us and other customers making us feel very comfortable and relaxed. He also provided excellent recommendations of places to visit. The meat and cheese board was wonderful, with some lovely smoked meats, and sheep and goats cheese. There was a wide wine selection, though the house wine was very drinkable. Very glad we chose to eat here over some of the other places more aimed at tourists.
Nice and quite place to take a moment and have a snack!!
Had a really nice lunch her with friends, thankfully had reserved a table in advance as it was full up not long after we arrived. Nice selection of food, all freshly prepared and very tasty. Incredible value for the quality provided, and super friendly staff. We were recommended a lovely bottle of local wine, and it was so good we bought another bottle to take away.

We arrived a bit late as our navigation system guided us through gravel roads and wine yards- the direct way - which turned out to be an adventurous drive with steep hills and over a very narrow bridge. When we arrived we found out that there was a normal road as well. Being late the welcome was a bit cold - as cold as the tasting room temperature - but once our guide realized that we had some knowledge on wine she quickly opened up and we had a very interesting tour of the cellar! Everything very modern and clean with a few on the environment. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and we even received a few very good recommendations. To visit a reservation is a must!

Stopped here because of the spectacular view that was available (until the big cruise boat turned up and blocked it out entirely!).There's a playground (and soccer pitch with goals!) nearby, so the kids were happy and we thought we'd try some tastings that were available... the window to this store is full of wine bottles for sale, so we thought it'd be ok.....The service begin fairly surly but not everyone can be super friendly I guess.... We ordered the Red wines and Ports to try (8⬠per 3 of each, so 16⬠all up). They were reasonably presented and we sat admiring the phenomenal view down the Douro. Unfortunately, 2 of the reds were clearly corked (or at least had been open for weeks!) and weren't drinkable. One was quite nice. The ports were nice to taste at least with smoky hints and lingering fruit. When we pointed out that they were corked we were met with a grunt. Ha. No offer of a re-pour or apology. We paid and walked out.Don't drink here. It only rates above a 1 star because of the amazing view There are plenty of free tables and chairs to sit and admire the view and the playground/soccer pitch nearby will keep the kids happy after a long car ride. They did do snacks although we didn't try any.
