This brasserie is opposite the arena with a nice outside area and two main dining rooms inside. Smart busy staff are polite and attentive although incredibly busy with the feria. They offered a reduced set menu for the feria which is understandable; we had fantastic oysters, foie and cote de boef. Washed down with good local wine - what more can you ask for. I was recommended to Le Cheval Blanc as the meeting place for the CTL and it has some amazing taurine memorabilia. I liked it a lot and will definitely go back if I go back to the Nimes feria.Thank you very much for your warm words.... we are very happy to see that you appreciate the restaurant during the feria, the most difficult moment for us.. we always try to keep the usual style of the restaurant..It will be a pleasure to welcome you again in case of you come back to NIMESMichel HERMETmaître RestaurateurMaître Sommelier

As we were wandering around the neighborhood near the Arena, we noticed a tapas bar with a very lively ambiance. It just so happened that the owner was standing outside as we were inspecting the menu. He inquired as to what we were looking for and if we needed advice. After an enjoyable conversation, we decided to stay and dine A la tchatche. The food, the service, the ambiance, everything was wonderful here! Bertrand, the owner, loves what he does and it shows. His staff is great as well! He wants people to feel as welcome in his restaurant as if they were special guests at his home. As my friend is a vegetarian, he prepared her a special salad made from all organic ingredients. He prides himself on going directly to his suppliers and hand-picking all the meat, fruit and vegetables that he serves in his restaurant. The bread put through the toaster oven was a really nice touch! The pan con tomates was different than the versions that I have had at other tapas restaurants and was extremely tasty! Both the magret seché (like duck jerky, but still very moist) and the aiguillettes de canard, which were seasoned to perfection with salt, pepper, and olive oil, were out of the world good. Bertrand also has quite a selection of wines and other drinks. The ambiance was very convivial as well. It seemed as though many of the customers had eaten there before and he had many friends in the place. All made for an excellent evening in Nîmes. If you're in the area, it's right around the corner from the Arena. Whether you are looking for a drink, a good meal, a fun evening, or all of the above, you'll find it "A la tchatche"!

It is not a 3 star restaurant, but in the old city of Nimes a nice place to have a decent and quick diner. You can choose from different small dishes and share them with your company.

We ate at this lovely restaurant last night and the food was delicious. It's down a back street so not easily to find but as we like to go off the main streets we came across it and so glad we did. It has only just opened so fairly quiet but I'm sure when people know where it is they will return again and again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was good but the food was amazing. It was great watching the chefs in action too!I wish 'The Bird' all the very best for the future and much success in this new venture. The deco is quirky but great!Unfortunately we were only visiting Nimes for a few days so won't be making this a regular place - sadly!

Already recommended on Trip Advisor, they have a great selection of wines, good location in the best square in town, excellent service and chacuterie and cheese platters on offer for those who want more than a drink. Loved the wooden tables and umbrellas outside. Must go location for visitors to Nimes

Italian restaurant with directly imported products, wines and alcools. All meals are home made by the Chef.
We had a great Italian lunch in this tiny Italian deli/bistro in one of the prettiest streets in Nimes. One chef, one waitress and one barman but they handled a busy lunch crowd very well. One of the best risottos I've had and not overpriced.

Tables with high-chairs on a lovely square near the cathedral. Fantastic waiter with a huge spanish accent did everything to make it a wonderful evening. The system to order is simple but works perfectly. At least 10 different stuffings, also veggie and vegan. We ate and drank with 4 adults and paid 100â¬. Recommend to all!!Thank you a lot! see you next time!!!
