The Country Hut in Bowness-on-Windermere is a cafe/cocktail and wine bar set in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, just two minutes walk from Lake Windermere, that specialises in amazing cocktails, meats and/or cheese, coffee and wine and pride our
We'd originally planned to visit the Easy Breeze but despite stating online that it's open 11am to midnight, they were putting the tables out when we arrived and were opening for the football later!!My friends had previously visited the Country Hut and enjoyed it. It was quiet, early evening, but the young lady serving was friendly and made some decent cocktails. The Rum Punch did pack a punch, you could really taste the alcohol, not always the case.I'd like to revisit when it's buzzing.

Where do I start with this place? Donât do bookings - About time more places did this. Lifeâs too short to stick to a schedule. Best drinks in town. Food superb, salads super tasty. Superb skilled staff! Thanks for this glowing recommendation. We appreciate it, and so do our lovely staff. Thanks

The Crafty Baa Craft / Belgian/Craft beer fine wines Charcuterie Cheese Slates
We came here twice during our stay in Windermere and loved it. The owners were super friendly and even recognised us! As well as all the ales and beers to try thereâs great wine and delicious cheesy dishes - we tried the baked Camembert and the 3 cheese toastie - both delicious! Also loved the free bar nibbles and soda water that just kept coming :) the only tiny bit of feedback is that there isnât much on the menu for veggies - a few more non meat options would be the icing on the already very tasty cake! Thank you!

The Fizzy Tarte is all about treating yourself - or someone else. A carefully considered selection of beers, wine, Champagne and cocktails will be on offer together with light bites - ideal for long lazy lunches that stretch right out into the evening. At
Fantastic food. Sandwiches very fresh and all fillings were extremely tasty. A nice variety of cakes. We were served by Flori who, despite being busy, catered to our every need. We asked for plain scones in advance so, if you are not a fan of fruit scones, ask when you book. A selection of hot and cold drinks available as part of the afternoon tea was a nice extra (different to tea and coffee). Many thanks for your review, We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us and chose to express this within your review. It is always a pleasure to see and hear about your experience with us. Visited a couple of weeks ago when down for the weekend with girlfriend's. We went into the bar at about 9pm, really busy and great atmosphere. Upstairs the restaurant was busy so we were given a buzzer to take down stairs for when a table was available. We ordered drinks in the bar, didn't wait long. I've eaten here a couple of times before and have always enjoyed it, but each time feel that the service is lacking a little. No suggestions from the waiting on staff or advice given regarding portion sizes. No checking on the table to see if all ok or if anything else needed. Food always ok here and drink good at reasonable prices for the location but I do feel service could be improved.
