We are a smal spanish Restaurant and Wine Bar, with original spanish food, we serve Tapas and Meals cold and warm, also Paella, Fish and excelent spanish wine. Wellcome!

I have visited this cozy place many times during my travels. They have amazing meals, paella and tapas, which are authentically prepared. They specialize in food and wine from the Extremadura region of Spain. They have mixed plates of cured ham and salami from wild pigs fed with acorns (Iberico de bellota) and other cured meats from deer and wild boar, as well as cheese from goat and sheep milk. This selection is high end and much better than in a typical Spanish tapas bar. You can get gift baskets as well. Service is super friendly, they speak English, Spanish, German. They atmosphere is very relaxed, music is great. They have a variety of great tasting red, rose, and white wines from the Extremadura region. Prices are reasonable.

Not sure why the only person who reviewed this place gave it such a bad review. We visited Donato for lunch. It was a very pleasant surprise after reading the review - sometimes it is worth giving restaurants/bars a second chance. We were served by the owner himself who was very engaging and friendly. We started with a bottle of wine and decided on the special of the day - gnocchi with salad. The gnocchi was fantastic; salad fresh and local. We just finished a south to north trip through Italy and could have thought we were back in southern Italy!The meal was completed with a limoncello and espresso - perfect way to finish a meal. Donato is very small with a few tables outside and bistro style inside. You can purchase wines, pastas, cheeses, etc; simple Italian delicacies to take home with you. We wholeheartedly recommend Donato.

Located down a small alley in Niederburg, the small wine store/bar has stools along the bar and a large, circular table at the rear of the business filled by the stammtisch crowd during my visit. Itâs a nice cozy, basement bar. Franz Fritz offers a large selection of wines by the bottle, carafe or glass. The prices are very reasonable and one can try from a selection of wines in the .1 or .2dl. I tried a red wine and it was very good. The owner was very nice to me and he was having a great time with his regular guests. He really made me feel at home during my visit and even gave me a business card. The restrooms were small, but clean. I would certainly recommend.
