What a little gem! I wish I had known about it sooner as it would have been perfect for my baby shower. I was enchanted by the Tea Terrace at Benguela Cove wine estate. The design of the Tea Terrace is extraordinary and with each and every detail, from the tables and chairs, to the prettiest little teacups, the entire experience has been created meticulously. The Tea Terrace offers wide variety of speciality teas but my favorite part was the English style cream teas!Hi Zandarella,Thank you very much for your review and kind words, its greatly appreciated. We are delighted you enjoyed the experience, and look forward to your next visit.

Went for a wine tasting, there was only 3 other parties during our visit. The service received was shocking, the staff member was too familiar, boasting about her sales skills when we asked why all the premium range wines were sold out. Had to get up and ask for the next wines to be poured for tasting and found that she was busy on her cellphone at the front desk. Will not visit again, the view is stunning but all in all we had a really disappointing experience.Hi lenemeadon,We are incredibly sorry to hear about the experience you had at our Tasting Room. We take this complaint incredibly seriously and our General Manager would like to get in touch with you at your earliest convenience. We would like to investigate and take the necessary steps to correct the situation as soon as possible. Would you please be so kind as to get in touch on [email protected] so we can get more information? Thank you very much and again, our deepest apologies. Kind regards - The La Vierge Team

This restaurant is a 'must visit' when in Hermanus. Fantastic views of the Heaven & Earth wine farms, super service, excellent wine at very affordable prices and the best lamb chops in the world. You can't ask for more. Tip - try their famous 'Ultimate onion' as a starter. Arrive an hour before your reservation, sit on the deck and enjoy the wine and view.

This restaurant will need to up itâs game to stay in the same league as other restaurants I ate at during my two weeks in South Africa. The service, while friendly, was terribly slow and we had to chase the waiter several times to find out when it would be ready. When the mains finally arrived, the food tasted nice but it was over priced for what we got. I ordered the seafood linguine which consisted of pasta mainly with a few scattered prawns and clams! It has potential but there are better place to eat in the area. Dear LoolieSorry to have disappointed. Your review jars with the vast majority of the feedback we get. Our apologies if the service was slow, the waiters are trained to advise that the chef prepares our dishes from scratch. As for value, the creamy pasta with prawns, fish and clams for the equivalent of â¬8,00 typically elicits very positive feedback regarding the excellent portion and value from mosts guests. We note you like burgers, pizza and beer; happily, there are a host of budget eateries in Hermanus.

A bespoke establishment with elements of industrial and steampunk design that incorporates vintage features with anachronistic modern technology. The interior creates a sassy and sophisticated fantasy world. At Char'd the emphasis is on unusual and innova
Waited full 30 mins to be served. Asked for our order before we had seen the steak tray, on which were not in the end dry aged but simply unusual cuts of (wet aged) meat (that in UK you would stew due to chewy nature). Dry aged was never mentioned, so that appears to be a bit of a âconâ. Wet aged ribeye was very good. Beer of the month off. Much of the wine rather expensive.HIThank you for taking the time to write to usJust to clarify all meat that was shown on that tray is all dry aged, We portion, vac pac and label 1 hour before service every day. So that tray has been matured in the dry aged fridge for 4 weeksIts a pity you did not try one of the cuts you say is stew meat as Those cuts, matured properly and treated with care can be more tender than a fillet and more flavorful that a Chuck. Please keep in mind we also have T bones, Tomahawks etc available but as we cut them they sell out really fast.Thank you for your feedback and sorry if you feel the service was slow, will investigate thatKind RegardsPetri
