We are staying in Radda and wanted a relaxed meal rather than very formal reataurant. Colle Bereto has a limited menu but the food is excellent and the service prompt and friendly. The bressoala and Tuscan ham starters were excellent as were the pasta dishes. The wine is also very nice, teamed with the local Colle Bereto winery which can be visited locally. All in all a really pleasant evening with good food in a relaxed atmosphere.
We had a dream, a vision, a project: to settle in the beating heart of Chianti Classico. Today, this dream has become reality, and we want you to be a part of it, a reality made of passion and creativity stemming from the rows of Tenuta Perano. Experience
This new "Osteria" in the Tenuta Perano, the Chianti estate owned by the remarkable Frescobaldi family is truly captivating as the setting is wonderful and magical! There is an enclosed glassed but open setting surrounded by a lovely garden with fragrant herbs and unusual plants, or an elegant, cosy room (ideal for chilly fall and winter nights) to choose for seating, and now also outdoors weather permitting, so initial anticipation is a certainty. This anticipation is met as the service is very good without being overwhelming, with very kind and attentive personnel (Bernardo and Francesco at our evening), the seasonally changing Tuscan dishes are unusual and delicious, and everything from the homemade bread to the estateâs olive oil, and of course the excellent selection of vino (we had a perfect Vermentino and rosato ideal with our fish dishes, and the Perano Chianti Classico 2015 with the meats) from the various estates of the family, make dining here truly an outstanding experience! The "osteria" is open also for lunch on certain days so check the times. In the evening though the splendid views overlooking the vineyards of the sunset are worth coming for! The road to Perano is a "strada bianca" (unpaved road) so special care should be taken when driving especially at night, as we did see a cinghiale and a capriolo crossing the road....adding to the ambiance!

After a morning cycling the hills around Gaiole in Chianti, we needed something cold to drink and good to eat. Tutta Birra is set in the middle of Gaiole piazza with tables to sit out and enjoy the October sun. It is known for itâs meat menu but, not being a great meat eater, I enjoy their pastas, beautifully cooked by Antonio. A cold beer soon perked us up. From the chalk board I chose ravioli with ricotta and spinach, served in a light buttery sage sauce. Himself had the pici cacio e pepe, with just the right amount of pepper. The pasta here is very good! Two delicious dishes, enjoyed with a glass of white wine. Refuelled, we pedalled on up the hill.Grazie mille.

Amazing food at really low prices for this area. Beautiful setting and Paola makes it special - while we were there she was up on a chair picking figs from the tree to hand out to all the customers. A very special interlude for lunch. Shame you canât give six stars!

While walking in Gaiole, we found this fantastic place. Immediately the owner, Riccardo came over and introduced himself. We sat outside and had several glasses of wonderful wine. He prepared for us a couple of outstanding appetizers. We ate there a few more times over our week there. Also, had a case of wine and olive oil shipped home to the states. Can't wait until we go back in the very near future.Grazie!...

We stopped into this great restaurant for lunch and were so pleased that we did. As we were seated, we were met by the smiling face of Monica, one of the owners. We ordered the bruschetta with the yummiest fresh tomatoes - wow - the best we have had in the Chianti region. We also ordered the pici con pepper with perocino cheese - the flavors just exploded in our mouthsAs we left, we also met her brother, David, the co owner. Beautiful experience - we will be back!

In a charming local of the 1300s, there is the wine shop & wine bar of Casa Porciatti. Comfortably seated at the tables of the wine bar you can choose to accompany your wine with a platter of cured meats of our production, Tuscan cheeses and bruschetta, o
Tucked away down a quaint alley is this bastion of fine food and wine. We sat amongst a fabulous collection of wine of which many can be sampled for a small charge. The Borloti soup was thick and flavoursome, whilst the bruschetta with spinach, tomatoes and truffles just rocked. The pasta courses were spot on. The local pasta Pici served just with truffles and butter was as delicious as it was simple, whereas the Ravioli with pumpkin and ginger raised the roof. We sampled a couple of Chianti's which were as smooth as silk. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere and our waiter spoke great English and was very passionate and knowledgeable about the local wines and cuisines. A totally memorable experience.

Il Ristoro di Ama is set in a Tuscan house with antique furniture and modern elements. It's a wonderful way to try the wines of Castello di Ama paired with fantastic cuisine. Tuesday closed.
We made an email reservation for lunch about a month in advance because we wanted an outdoor table on the terrace. When we visited, in early October, many tables were available so we could have easily walked in as well. Once seated outdoors, we were suprised to find that the terrace didn't have a view, as other's have stated in their reviews. The terrace had an internal view of the hamlet buildings with white drapery blocking the intense sun. Even in October the sun was blaring hot, too hot to sit outside at midday. We requested to move inside and were quickly accomodated. The indoor dining area is split up into many lovely rooms decorated with modern touches. We loved the juxtaposition of the extremely old historic castle decorated with modern lighting, furniture, fabrics, etc.The lunch menu was great; so many items to choose from. We wanted to order them all!Outstanding dishes were the lasagna and beef cheeks stewed in red wine. Oh, and the wine is incredible! We each ordered different wines by the glass to accompany our lunch because we wanted to sample them all. After lunch, we went down to the Enoteca to try a glass of the L'apparita, which we shared overlooking the vineyard. The Enoteca faces the vineyard, however, the lunch terrace did not. Definitely save time to stroll around the tiny medieval hamlet. It's it truly gorgeous!.The experience was first class and we will definitely go back on our next trip to Chianti Classico region. It was one of the top memorable meals of our trip. Also, you can buy candles and room frangrances in the Enoteca Shop to take home! This restaurant is not for the tourist masses; it's a unique experience!
