This is the real place where we had a great Sunday lunch in the Osteria. Previosly I've wrongly reviewed the "azienda agricola". The restaurant (Osteria) is part of a bigger old country farm ("azienda agricola") with a nice landscape. We started with "salumi e affettati" together with local cheeses, "pappa al pomodoro" and the special sweet cheese-and-peers. Pasta as first course and local beef in tuscany style ("tagliata di chianina") with side courses. Red wine (local production) and great staff make this place a must to be visited. Take a note e sign on the map...

Today we visited the acclaimed Torre A Cenaia estate which looked beautiful despite the rain. We were shown around and given much interesting information about their wine production. We were then treated to a wine tasting. Thirteen of us were seated at a long table set with a colourful red cloth, plates of sheepâs cheese at different stages of maturity, marinated vegetables, tomato bruschetta, truffle bruschetta, bread and olive oil from the vineyard and, of course, wine glasses. The âtastingsâ were very generous â we tried a white wine, a sparkling wine, two red wines, a dessert wine, accompanied by cantuccini, and Grappa. This was probably the most sociable, convivial wine tasting weâve ever had and our sommelier was very enthusiastic and interesting. More food and wine was offered throughout. We had a little time to spend in the shop. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything but we couldnât resist a couple of bottles of Per Non Dormire (their premier red wine) and a box of their Cantuccini!!
We had a delicious dairy Italian pasta lunch on a Thursday, and the next day picked up three very generous and delicious meat meals, a bottle of their excellent wine, a warming plate and a hot water urn to take back to our nearby hotel room/suite for the long Shabbat. Eli, the founder owner and his wife could not have been more helpful.
We are a Kosher Restaurant offering genuine Tuscan gastronomy with a farm-to-table mentality. We produce wine, olive oil, cheese, jams and more! We work upon reservation only
We stayed in the guest house of the hosts and enjoyed breakfasts and dinners in the Restaurant. Other patrons just drove in for meals from nearby areas. The menu was different everyday based on the fresh produce available that day. We even ordered lunch to go to take on our day outings. Every salad, bread, main course, side, and dessert was exceptional. The wine was also excellent- we bought bottles to take home, along with their own olive oil and jams. The ambiance is so relaxing and rustic and the hosts (and guests) are so friendly and helpful. For a kosher traveler who sometimes has to be satisfied with mediocre fare, Cantina Guiliana is a pampering, top rate culinary experience.
