The doorman at Sofitel recommended this place - adjacent to the iconic âEuropeanâ restaurant. Good list of wines by the glass and a menu of nibbles to go with them. Sit inside or, as most wine refugees seem to do, sit outside and watch Melbourne rush by.Very good, attentive service. Recommended âï¸.

Vibe: Upmarket hangout that delivers on all fronts Food: We tried dishes featuring beetroot, cucumbers and pippis. All simple but tasty fare done well. The oysters and then the ravioli were highlights.Service: The busy staff seemed to manage everything well and have time for unhurried explanations of the food and drinks. Drinks: Plenty of interesting options. Space: Just enough space to be comfortable at the high tables. Hooks for coats and bags.Noise: What youâd expect for a cosy place for the afterwork crowd.Am I going back? Absolutely

We booked for an early (5.00pm) dinner before our show around the corner. The place was vibrant, warm and inviting. Great decor with plenty of wine. We spent 2 hours feasting and drinking while enjoying all that Punch Lane has to offer. The food was amazing. Sides are large enough to share. Service was exemplary and totally satisfied customers were everywhere. Not the cheapest venue but well worth the price to get spoilt and have an awesome night out.Hi Alanmcgrathnz,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.Glad to see you enjoyed our food and service. We look forward to seeing you again soon before another show!

Fantastic place for breakfast (lunch or dinner) in a fantastically located restaurant / wine bar. If you are visiting from out of town and staying in the city it is well worth a visit. The breakfast menu is simple and reasonably priced, the coffee is good but the highlight has to be the Lune Croissants. Do yourself a favour order what ever you want for breakfast but make sure you enjoy one of these gems whilst you are there. Before, during or after your breakfast - YUM!

I booked a whisky tasting for my husband's birthday. The tasting was done by our wonderful guide Yasmin, who took us through the very interesting history of whisky in the beautiful setting that is 1806. We enjoyed whisky samples paired with lovely food, and finished off with cocktails. I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking something different.

This is a great suburban bistro/bottle-shop. The restaurant space is lovely and the menu has a good hearty selection. The chefs do a very good job on the entrees and main. The Prosciutto/roasted fig/tomato/burrata is fantastic. The main was a dry-aged duck breast, but it came in a sort of pasty - which took my by surprise...but...it was truly delicious and I could have happily eaten another one! The wine list is extensive and seems to be priced at 'bottle-shop" prices which is a nice change. The only issue we found was with dessert. We went for the crepe suzette but this interpretation is not as good as the original/expected version. The crepes were cold and had dollops of flavoured cream inside them. It still tasted ok, just not what they were made out to be. Service was good. Would go again, but ask more questions as I was ordering.
