Local artisans who respect the land and the seasons, high quality ingredients simply but cleverly transformed. This is what to expect from the menu of our Osteria Borgo Syrah. A sincere-taste cuisine, where local ingredients, own-garden vegetables and our
Beautiful venue with a great heritage. Unfortunately, the food (despite its culinary aspirations) was disappointing. We ordered the dishes of the day, octopus as a starter and pasta with cod for main, and two a la carte dishes, beef (turned out to be beef tartare which may offset some people when misinformed) as a starter and pasta with bottarga. The octopus was not cleaned very well and in texture was very rubbery (even dry at some parts), the pasta with bottarga was undercooked (not al dente, I know my pasta) and tasted fishy and was missing a nice piece of codfish. The beef tartare was a bit of a surprise, as I was expecting a cooked piece of beef because the menu didn't mention tartare. Though the meat was of great quality, the tartare was underseasoned and too roughly chopped. The wines were brilliant though! We had a rose, a Viognier and a syrah, all exceptional wines from their own vineyards. We would recommend going here for the wines (the first winery to bring syrah grapes to Tuscany).
The "Bar dell'Accademia" opens with the scope of offering a service to the guests of Hotel San Michele and not only: after so many efforts to guarantee a complete service we decided to create a space not only used for breakfast, but also oriented to serve

Enotria Wineshop is the ancient wineshop in Cortona with the large choice of typical products and a large space for sit-down and eat!
Located on via nationale at the edge of the historic district in Cortona. Nice stop for early evening wine or lunch. We often stopped during happy hour where they always had some snacks available. Free wi-fi also with password.

Dined here twice while on holiday. Interesting and different menu from the usual tourist stuff. Very popular so make sure you book. Wine is their speciality , and they are very knowledgeable. Attracted locals as well as tourists which is always a good sign in my book. Will be back ther next year.

Knowledgeable staff - great selection of Brunello and back vintages across Italian wine. Team helped us find some 2000 Barolo and spent a lot of time with us and gave us a nice discount.

Bottega Baracchi is a real concept shop halfway between restaurant, wine bar and store, an innovative space that has as primary essence, excellence, in all its various forms. Small, subtle fragments capable of giving color to our journey. A lunch, a cockt
If youâre looking for something a little different in Cortona, would recommend giving this place a try. Service was very good and the menu has many seafood options. I had the coconut prawns which were very good. For a main course I had the wild boar ravioli which was very good. The sauce was tangy and each ravioli was stuffed with flavorful boar meat. Overall we had a good experience. Dear Roanie1969la Bottega team thank you for the nice words you share describing your culinary experience with us!thanks!we hope to welcome you againhave a lovely weekendkind regradsLina Bartelli
