Once in a while, you get very lucky and find a gem. This was my lucky day! Trying to find a restaurant within walking distance from our bed and breakfast, I stumbled upon this jewel. It is a combination store, wine cantina and very small restaurant (about 6 tables)but they serve up food fit for a king! Not only that, we sat in their cantinetta ( small wine cellar) that only accomodated one table. Simone, the owner, was our waiter and he made sure that our evening was very special. First, he brought us the tenderest and lightest fried pumpkin flowers. Then a seafood antipasto with octopus and a zucchini sauce (incredible). Homemade bread with carrots and pumpkin seeds as well as other delightful breads. Our entree was a risotto with porcini and a special cheese from the area. For dessert, profriteroles made in house with chocolate and whipped cream. OMG! This little place is on the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa in Romano d'Ezzelino. If you are ever in Bassano del Grappa, make it your business to go there! Sorry, but some of the pictures were of half eaten food...we got excited and ate before thinking about the pictures but rest assured, they were beautifully presented when they came out. If you are a wine connoisseur, you will love this place as well.

Ci hanno fatto accomodare nel patio esterno, potenzialmente bellino ma dove câera un leggero ma chiaro olezzo di toilette.Dopo 20 minuti di attesa in cui le cameriere continuavano a passare senza portarci ne menuâ ne altro ma ignorandoci completamente, ci siamo alzati e ce ne siamo andati senza che nessuno pur vedendoci ci chiedesse nemmeno il perché. Non fa per me.

Two things set this place apart from the rest: atmosphere and the excellent selection of wines. It really feels like stepping into someone's place, with all guests seating at the communal table or standing by the bar and the owner happily mingling with everyone. Boasts one of the most extensive selection of organic wines I have ever tried, matched with a rustic, wholesome array of cold cuts and other snacks.

We spent a lovely evening here drinking wonderful and affordable prosecco with locals. While we were the only English speaking folks, we absolutely loved blending in with the locals sipping wine. The small bar naturally spills out to the alley tables and is very friendly. the 90 minutes we spent sitting here and chatting were the highlight of our trip to Bassano. No scenery and no pretense. Its just a terrific local bar that is friendly and fun.

Very good winery, good own wine production, the atmosphere is great and the view...astonishing!! Very cozy, helpful staff, excellent homemade tipical Italian food.The collection of Grappa is something...Been there with family, defenitily i'll have to come back and stay around. Very good wines by glass from their own production
