Along the ridge that leads from Novello to La Morra, in the Vergne fraction of the municipality of Barolo, the Sylla Sebaste cellar has been producing classic Piedmont wines of refined quality from more then twenty years. Erected right on the summit of th
We visited this vineyard for a tour and a wine tasting paired with food. The tour was not that interesting compared to tours we have taken at other vineyards in other parts of the world. The tarting and food took place in the cellar surrounded by large barrels of wine. The selection of white and red wine was good, accompanied by a good explanation, the wine was generally excellent, and well paired with the food, but the food was not that tasty. Service was good.

La Cantina Wine Bar is a family run business situated between Verduno and La Morra. It has a large terrace with a scenic view. La Cantina serves Breakfast, Lunch, Gelato, Aperitifs, Wine and Coffee.
We've been coming to Verduno for years and have watched this bar evolve into a great little cantina. Family friendly, bilingual and great selection of local wines. They have recently introduced a menu and while we didn't have lunch here, we did come for drinks and were able to sample some of what they have. And even with the food and the wine, its still an outstanding bar for the best espresso in the area!!!

I was at this restaurant back in April after the hotel concierge recommended for late lunch. It was great then, but we did not return until this July trip. There aren't that many good restaurants in La Morra, so we just went back and loved the food. This restaurant has very cheap menu and great price for wines. We actually went twice this time- two days in a row. I loved the cold riso, and the burrata cheese!! I would love to go back to this restaurant.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by a very nice woman. We asked to sit outside and she put us in a sunny warm spot, then brought us water and bread. We placed our order for a meat and cheese board and two glasses of wine. While my wife was in the restroom, the nice lady came with the bottle of wine to pour for us and said she would wait until my wife returned. After my wife got back, we waited so long for someone to come, we eventually poured the wine ourselves. And then wait even longer for the meat and cheese board that was bought out by somebody else. We then waited a very long time for them to ask us if everything was all right, we ordered the check and left. We may have eaten more food but ran out of time. I believe there was a communication problem inside the restaurant and they forgot about us outside.Dear BethlehemPaUSA,thank you for the time to write this review.I'm very happy to read you have been nicely greeted. On the orther hand I'm sorry for the incovienience of the wine and the long wait.I have already shared your comments with my colleagues and I am sure that your words will be an incentive for us to keep improving and delivering exceptional service to our guests. Kind regards.Grace Ansaldi & UVE's Team

Very unprepossing little roadside bar/restaurant served fantastic fresh tasty local food. My ravioli with black truffle was unbelievable: the ravioli was served and then mountains of fresh black truffle was grated onto it at the table. A simple salad tasted as if it had all been plucked from the garden 10â previously. Yum!

I suspect this place is overrun with foreign visitors all year round, so perhaps the staff can be somewhat irritable at this. We found the service somewhat dismissive at first, but warmed once our local wine guide introduced us to the staff (who then allowed us to see the wine cellar). The drinks and food (buffet-style, approximately 15-20 varieties of cold cuts, cheeses, savoury tarts and breads) were great, though limited seating made this less enjoyable though I understand standing to eat is a cultural norm here.

Absolutely loved this place! Simple wooden decor with pictures on the walls related to truffle and truffle hunting. Casual service. Both waitresses spoke some English. Also overheard one of them speaking French to a couple nearby. We tried local wine (Barolo, Barbaresco and Barolo Chinato) and had a delicious meal. Vitello Tonnato (roasted veal with tuna sauce), Fassona Tartare with black truffle (an exquisite raw veal from Langhe) and Risotto al Barolo (Acquerello rice with Barolo wine) were all exquisite and very typical for the region. The tartare was the best I have ever tried in Italy since I moved here. Perfection!!! Highly recommend this restaurant for a traditional Piedmontese meal and wine. Also, itâs right in the heart of the center of the tiny town of Barolo. Take a stroll around the castle and finish your visit with this lovely restaurant/winebar.

This restaurant is managed by a lady whose son if the chef and to whom we got to speak briefly so it is your typical Italian small business venture, in a traditional home of Barolo serving local products.I will be honest, getting a table was very long and difficult but once you are seated the food, and the service, are just excellent.I had a Barolo risotto, which is probably one of the best risottos I had in my life (and I had many).Highly recommended but go during the week and book if you can.

La Vite Turchese is in the heart of Barolo. You can purchase and take away, choosing from among the more than 3000 types of wines from Piedmont, Italy and abroad. On the boards, you'll be able to choose your glass from the 200 on offer and accompany it wi
The place is very posh and trendy !! A style most common these days in Italy; the Italy that just discovered the "apero-time" or "apero-dinner". How to say the parvenu....The wine choice is exceptional and the owner most knowledgeableBUT they are SO pretentious that drinking there become a stress !
