We had a family of 13 booked in for a Saturday night, including 5 kids - we were asked to pre-order during the week which wasnât a problem. We arrived at our table on the night only to be told we would have an hourâs wait even though they already had our orders. The place was packed and the majority of tables were waiting for food. When it finally came, one of the family had ordered liver, bacon sausage and mash - only he was presented with just liver and mash. When asked where the rest of the meal was, he was told that they had run out. Extra veg was ordered to go with the meal but it never turned up. The rest of the group was unimpressed with the food. The bar was the only area where there wasnât a problem and the liver and mash was taken off the bill, but we will not be back. Other reviews on here all seem to be confirming the same problems.

This hotel and restaurant sits in a spectacular location overlooking the Menai Straits on the Ismand of Anglesey. Recently under new management it offers a wide range of cuisine from bar meals to a full dining room service. A good range of beers and wines
Stayed here in October, lovely hotel, fantastic location on the shore of Menai, lovely sea views, great staff, fabulous evening meal (my wife had rib eye and said it was lovely to have a tasty light jus served with the steak instead of being asked an extra two quid for a Diane sauce). Breakfast great, best poached eggs ever, hats off to the chef. We had a brilliant stay, nice bar and a top barman. My daughter and her partner had come over from Canada and we decided to take them to Anglesey for a couple of days. They were blown away by the hotel. Thank you so much and canât wait to returnAndy JThank you very much for your kind words which highlight all the hard work my staff put into the service, we offer a selection of sauces with the steak which is included in the price so no hidden charges, on saying that the chefs must change when they do my breakfast as I end up with hard boiled poached eggs ha.We are all pleased that you enjoyed you stay also that you daughter and partner enjoyed their visit from Canada, I have many happy memories of the time I spent in Alberta. We look forward to hosting you again

Three of us enjoyed coffee and shortbread, really excellent. Our visit coincided with a cloudburst, and in Menai Bridge when it rains, it really rains! Although Pot Jam was closing, we were offered the chance for us to stay and sit it out.Previously, Iâd visited for lunchand the soup and jacket potato were really tasty and home-made. Certainly on my next visit to y Borth, âIâll be back!â

We are beautifully situated near the Menai Straits and are family friendly. Unfortunately we cannot accept dogs except Assistance Dogs.
Excellent restaurant on two floors. Upstairs preferred dining. Has view of waterway and boats via panoramic windows. Well organised and extensive menu for a moderate price. On street parking near by but very congested in the evening. Part of a small chain but standards are high and certainly worth a visit when socialising. A friend wasnât happy with a burger he ordered and complained it was over cooked. Despite being advised that regulations required minced beef to be well cooked they accommodated him with a replacement which was to his liking. Very tolerant and customer friendly service. Donât hesitate to eat at this establishment, but be sure to book as can be quite popular.

Popped in here for a pint on a sunny day. I had a pint of 49 er, good tasty beer and fairly hoppy. Nice seating inside. Located on one side of the menai bridge.

This is relatively newly opened cafe/restaurant which puports to be Portuguese although there were no Portuguese dishes on the main menu. Nevertheless it was a good menu with many attractive main dishes, soup and sandwiches. The dishes we had were enjoyable. Two of us had smoked salmon sandwiches which was very nice, good bread and lovely salmon. One of us had leek and potato soup, followed by a tuna sandwich both of which were good, finishing with a pastel de nata (the classical Portuguese custard tart) which was very good. The restaurant was busy which indicates that it is popular. The staff were helpful and pleasant, service was good. Reasonably priced food and drink. We have rated this restaurant as very good - good to very good would be more appropriate. We shall definitely go again to try out the other dishes and are more than happy to recommend it to others.

Booked when the reservations for 2019 opened in Sept 2018 and the wait did not disappoint. Very relaxed atmosphere. Very simple design (restaurant) Clean toilets. The service was very very good - hats off to Bethan. I heard her speaking Welsh too which was nice to hear. Very well priced drinks; we had a prosecco and the freshly squeezed apple juice (a must!) The food.........delicious! Well presented. Very knowledgeable staff too and friendly. The food is in keeping with the season. Nice coffee too. I want to go back

We dined here with friends. The evening began with cocktails in the lounge whilst we perused the menu. Cocktails are priced under £10. Lots of local and national produce available. I opted for the Welsh gin and was not disappointed. We had a three course dinner, which included an amuse-bouche and sorbet course but coffee was extra. The Welsh lamb comes highly recommended and the desserts are delicious. Good wine list, with prices from £20 upwards. Staff very attentive throughout. The meal cost £300 for the four of us.
