I recently went to Vietnam. I miss the food terribly. Seattle has good Vietnamese food, but it's really hard to find specialties like banh beo. This restaurant had some of my Vietnamese favorites! The banh beo was really good and so was the bun cha! Servers were very pleasant and helpful! Wish it was closer :). Nothing will ever replicate the dishes I had in Vietnam, but this restaurant was a mighty fine second!

Trying this new dishes that my mom keep talking about. Normally I would get the fried yellow egg noddles dishes. But this fried rice noddles the noddles they use for pho.

The restaurant is busy, busy, busy with a short wait for a table at lunch, but the service is speedy and the food promptly delivered to the table. The pho is delicious and the large servings are plenty for two meals. The spring rolls were fresh and the Thai iced tea came in a to-go cup, so we could take the rest with us.I'll be returning to this restaurant often!

We got there on Friday night by 6pm and were seated in 15 minutes. Young waiters and waitresses were very attentive and helped us order some classic seafood dishes I was longing for. We ordered a couple of tapa size appetizers, Razor Clams, my all time favorite; sea snails with garlic and butter, well baked and so tasty; Seafood salad with octopus and interesting vegetables, a bit spicy; scallop sashimi with red sauce, very fresh; pineapple seafood fried rice in a half pineapple, quite filling; pineapple smoothie in the whole fruit for pineapple lover. We finished our meal with complimentary taro dessert. Even without any alcohol, it was still a great seafood dinner full of flavors and joyful surprises.

Here at Au Lac the compassion manifests itself in the attention to detail that goes into every dish we want to cultivate an atmosphere where people come together to create a center of gravity pulsating with love, harmony, and health. We opened our doors i
I have been to many vegan restaurants and Vietnamese restaurants. And this one wins. The have meat and when you eat it you don't even know it is vegan. My recommendations are the pho and egg rolls. Definitely coming here again.

Good atmosphere and decent Vietnamese-inspired vegan food. Reading the menu I had to wonder if this place is really vegan due to the frequent mention of 'ham' and 'fish', but it turned out it's all vegan. Their approach seems less traditional than Au Lac, for example, but we found plenty of interesting choices. The menu is actually very large and impressive. We had the spring rolls and the crispy rice for appetizers and shared a curry, all delicious.Service, as expected in a Vietnamese place, was friendly, but disorganized.

Opens at 0600 hours and gets crowded with locals and family! Ordered the raw beef Pho with beef balls. It tastes awesome! The soup base is wonderfully prepared, tasty broth and clear! One of the best pho I have tasted in a while! Recommended for all Pho lovers! it taste better than In Vietnam itself. Price is mid range with a generous portion of fresh beef! The dripped coffee with condensed milk tastes wonderful. Ambience is minimal, go for a quick meal!

We had headed over to Garden Grove for lunch and had planned to go to Brodard. Unfortunately we discovered that Brodard was closed. Worse still, we found it was now (insert horror music here) a vegetarian restaurant. My son told me that Garlic & Chives was right next door and get this, they served Meat! We ran as fast as we could to go claim our meat at Garlic & Chives! We looked at the menu and meat and seafood was everywhere (thank God). My son ordered the beef with noodles and I had marinated pork with Vermiceli. We also ordered the spring rolls with shrimp and a pomelo salad (which was surprisingly good). The food and service were awesome. Some of the wait staff there appeared to be only 16, but who cares, they served us Meat! This was one of the best meals I have had in a while. We left satisfied. On the drive home I wondered if those yoga loving vegans might somehow try to convert this place too. Would we all just become a bunch of meatless zombies? I decided we better go back soon to make sure that didn't happen.

Menu is extensive and foods are good. Waiters and waitresses are nice and the service is good. It can be very crowded. So, time your visit accordingly. The location is a bit hard to find. The map shows the front street but the restaurant is actually behind the building (in the back) next to the 99c store.
Where to eat American food in Westminster: The Best Restaurants and Bars

I went with the family today today to celebrate a birthday, which I had mentioned on the on-line reservation form. The four of us were seated right next to the bar, which is by the entrance area. Seating was not exactly comfortable, and the noise level from the bar with the ice grinding machine and people carelessly throwing dishes and glasses nearby was very high. Our waiter was very friendly, and service was fast. I had the seafood curry, which was excellent and could give many Thai restaurants a run for their money. The bread served with the curry was also good, and the other dishes were equally delicious. What surprised me was that the check was on the table before we had decided on desert. Equally, the leftover bread, which I had planned to take home (why waste it?), was swiftly removed. We had to flag down the waiter to get our desert order in. While Brodard Chateau shines when it comes to appetizers and main dishes, the deserts are clearly not the focus of this restaurant (and neither are vegetarian dishes). I ordered strawberry crepes, and have never eaten crepe that thin, dry, and crunchy. It's not the usual type of crepe, and I did not like it very much.
