Got together with a couple buddies for lunch. Cold Monday so went for hot soup. One shrimp satay soup, a beef satay soup, and a house hot special soup. Everyone ordered extra spicy but all came pretty standard heat. Servings were decent size. Could use a bit more fresh basil and sprouts. I've had better satay soup, but nice to know there is a close option I hadn't tried before. Service was ok. Had to ask for tea and water quite a few times. Never was asked if we wanted anything else. Easy to recommend if in the area and in the mood for Asian soups. Average pricing. May go back.

The salad rolls had no basil and we found them bland, the lemon grass chicken vermicelli was just ok, service was attentive poor gluten free choices

I was just looking for something that wasn't fast food, but would be quick as I was passing through St. Albert and had a few hours' drive ahead. I noticed this restaurant beside a burger joint in a little strip mall and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the cleanest place and the waitress was also the cook but my pho was ample, full of meat and vegetables and quite tasty.
We visited the Red Brick Wall later on a Thursday evening. They were busy but definitely not swamped. We placed our orders and waited for our food. The owner is a really friendly person and tries very hard to please her customers. We were surprised when (after waiting for some time) we were approached and told that they had run out of shrimp and would we mind if fake crab was swapped for it.This raises a few questions. How did they manage to run out of shrimp? Who does the ordering and how? When our order was taken they already knew there wasn't any shrimp for the dishes that called for it...so why not tell us upfront with no waiting? What we did have was very tasty but we did get a bad first impression.
