Colonia Tovar (English: Tovar Colony) is a town of Venezuela, capital of the municipality Tovar in Aragua state. Founded in 1843 by a group of immigrants from the then independent state of the Grand Duchy of Baden (later incorporated into Germany), it is characterized by the maintenance of the cultural imprint of their origin, so it is called "the Germany of the Caribbean". The economy depends primarily on agriculture and tourism; and the town is located 42 km (26 mi) from Caracas. The Colonia is known for its temperate crops (peaches, strawberries, beets, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, chard, broccoli, lettuce, onions and potatoes) and their derivatives. Since 1990 it has shown a high rate of population growth, rising from 3,373 to 21,000 inhabitants in 2016.

Un extraordinario local para fiestas que de Lunes a Viernes, se transforma en lugar donde encuentras diversión, cocina y arte.Su chef Orlando, presenta una carta en la que la cocina venezolana es la reina y que fusiona, en algunos platos, con tendencias mediterráneas.En sus paredes presentan diferentes muestras de artistas locales.Poseen dos áreas diferentes y singulares, tienes la comodidad interior con aire acondicionado o el enorme jardÃn con mesas tipo picnic americano.En algunas oportunidades hacen festivales de comida los fines de semana, recientemente hicieron uno de comida llanera en el cual podÃas ver la carne en vara cocinada como lo hacen en el llano.El detalle original que nos sorprendió es que poseen un área especial para que puedas cargar tu teléfono móvil identificado.

El lugar es agradable, presentan musica en vivo, las chicas meseras son muy amables y la decoración de las paredes esta genial, lo único que no me agrado fue la bebida, pedimos unos mojitos que se supone se hacen con ron, no se con cual licor los hicieron, Pero estoy estoy seguro que no era ron.

Dopo un periodo piuttosto esteso a Catia la Mar abbiamo deciso di interrompere la dieta a base di pesce e di andare a mangiare in questo ristorante che già conoscevamo. Una conferma con un menù piuttosto ampio. Per curiosità ho provato anche della trippa ed era ottima. Abbiamo comunque provato dei filetti di pesce locale ed era freschissimo. Si possono gustare le birre di qualità superiore della Polar oltre ad altre birre e vino. Ottimo i succhi. Imperdibile il casabe (kassava), il pane degli indios, in versione gourmet!

A very nice place with modern decoration and interesting menu. Cons: Sebiche and Thai food are out of their reach, so they shouldn't be on the menu. Pros: Main courses, particularly fish are excellent, at the very best level. Very good pasta and beef. Their "Souffle de Chocolate" alone is worth the visit. All areas (Bar, restaurant and outdoor seating) are nice and comfortable. I've been there twice this week, but didn't have the chance to try their sushi. They get comedians on wednesdays. We enjoyed Carlos Donoso last night. Nice!

Excelente opción en Maracay, comida abundante mucho persona, muchos platos tÃpicos y gran variedad de carnes y parrilla, pedimos las brochetas de carne y pollo que vienen colgadas y estaban bastante buenas, excelente la tirita de oreo, lo único que es un poco incómodo es que es abierto y no tiene aire y hacÃa bastante calor

Inside of an old monastry you will find a nice and cosy restaurant, calles The Monk. It has some really tasty menues like the trout or the porc filets with a dijon-mustard sauce. Also the monk-chesse-platter is just fabulous. The pricese are resonable, the quality excellent and the service in order. A pianist is sweeten up your meal. Outside of the resturatant you can relax a lot with a park, spa and lots of animals. Have a try !

They're not "the best" in town, but they're good enough for everyone looking for nice and assorted flavors/fills. Location is great, private parking, and one of the safest areas around. Price is according.

Nice assortments of chicken, grill and barbecue. Refreshing sangria and fruit juices by the glass or the pitcher. Great for family or big groups informally gathering. The only con would be the lack of air conditioning in a hot city. Take away available.
