Itâs worth the curvy road drive from Stiava to get to this Mecca for delicious steak. The owner meets each patron warmly and his staff is courteous and efficient. My daughter and I had anchovies served with warm bread and butter for our antipasto. The anchovies were delicious. We had a gorgeous perfectly cooked bistecca for our main course served with hot freshly cooked French fries and spinach. With a drizzle of local olive oil the steak was superb. Though we were stuffed we had a tiramisu and Creme Brûlée for dessert. Both of us drank sparkling water, but observed a very nice local wine offering. This is what authentic Italian dining is all about.

We sat outside on the terrace amongst the beautiful garden, with the majestic mountains looking down on us in the distance. The menu was very good and our meal delicious. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, without being over the top! In my review of the hotel I forgot to mention that the hotel is actually about 3km from the township of Camaiore and at the time of our visit, the GPS co-ordinates on the website were incorrect - Of course that may have been corrected by now.

Our family of six adults stayed in Montemagno for 10 days at the end of June, and we visited this restaurant three times. On each occasion we were welcomed and shown to our table of choice. The mixed antipasta was huge and delicious - enough for at least 3 people. All of the antipasta, primo, secondo and pasta dishes were cooked freshly and were all very tasty. There was a wide selection of main courses. The service was excellent; always friendly and discrete, and the prices were very reasonable. A bottle of house wine (red, white or rose) was only â¬6 and a litre carafe was only â¬10. And it was absolutely fine! Well worth a visit if you are in the area as this restaurant is in Montemagno, on the road from Lucca to Camaoire.

In spite of being a local in-and-out throughout my years, I went to this restaurant in Nocchi, Camaiore, for the first time and quickly realised I've missed a very warm and typical village restaurant, or better "osteria", which offer a valid alternative to what else is on offer in the area. The restaurant is set in an old stone building, cool in summer and I guess warm in winter by looking at the size of its large fireplace. A very nice open terrace compliments the rest of the area, where you can dine in summertime.Don't expect a high class restaurant menu and indeed this is not why you come here in the first place. Instead honest and earthy dishes are offered in the set menu that change according to availabilities, and what's better than this? The pizza is also a very nice alternative indeed.Well done.

Fab restaurant. Run by a hard working family that have make this a local institution. Tucked in the hills about 25 minutes from Lucca. Good range of meat and fish dishes, all local. Super friendly staff. Interior is smart, spacious. Posh vibe but you can dress informally. Used for wedding parties. Large balcony. Large parking lot.

A wine restaurant where you can enjoy well-selected wines, the fruit of a long and continuous search that compliments the cuisine of Chefs Maurizio Marsili and Alessandro Lucchinelli. The chef wakes up early in the morning to make sure he can secure the b
I had lunch here on a rainy Friday in October 2018 en route from San Gimignano to Camaiore. It was somewhat tricky to find amongst the luxurious villas and mansions dotted around this rich, lush landscape on the outskirts of Lucca, but well worth the effort.I accepted the recommendation of Andrea, the patron, of a glass of La Goia di San Stefano which is produced just down the road and is a truly beautiful bianco on the palette, especially with seafood in which this extraordinary restaurant specialises. My starter was a crudità of several types of local fish and shellfish. Presented magnificently on a capacious platter, it was distressing to disturb it's perfection by consuming it, but consume it I did - with relish. My mains was a generous portion of Muggine, also a local fish, white and tender served with a herb and potato pastiche and delicious fresh baby leaves. There was a definite secret ingredient which I would guess involved caramelized lemon. It was truly brilliant. (Andrea, who had taken great pains to explain the menu to me in his easy going and engaging way, insisted on re-cooking the main course as I had left my table as it arrived for 2 minutes.)As a parting digestive and a gift I was given a local gin infused with a herb from a plant which grows only on the local beaches and is much prized for its honey. The bill came to â¬70 which in my view was well worth it.The bread, coffee and accompanying biscuits were all of exceptional quality. This is quite clearly an exceptional restaurant and will rank as the best ever of a month's holiday in AndalucÃa and Tuscany/Umbria. Don't miss it if you're ever in the area!

Antica Locanda Di Sesto is a restaurant located on the right side of the Serchio River,in the outskirts of Lucca. The Building dates back to the 1368, as the marble stone in front of the restaurant says, a period when the local merchants started to build
What a fantastic place to enjoy Dinner ,Location, Kitchen, Service, all fit in one word, perfect..This restaurant is family owned for over 200 hunderd Years and vibes the Tuscan air, pleasant and relaxing.Try the spaghettoni al guanciale, goes al dente in a big Sheep cheese bowl, stir with some crispy pork and put a on warm plate, a taste explosion, in what seems a simple recepy, less is more. The starter, being antipasto misto della case, is somthing to be proud of as kitchen chef, a large selection of Tuscan goodies, it made my day.Next time around, I will rush back, can`t wait, well thinking about that, It`s a great excuse to go soon.Keep this Gem for yourself please.
