Bit of a mixed review for our mixed shish dishes...Friendly staff, clean restaurant and the food was OK but nothing outstanding. Very pricey in comparison to other Mangal-type restaurants and not reflected in the taste or portion sizes. Probably wouldn't go back.

We cordially invite you to our restaurant Melissa. It combines tradition with modernity in an exceptional way. We serve tasty traditional Turkish food in a modern and refreshing interior design.
This is a nice place, very informal and popular with locals and always busy. It has a really nice atmosphere, the staff are genuinely very nice and helpful and the prices are ok for this part of the world, Harrow and Stanmore prices have become quite pricey in recent years for generally quite average food. The food here though isnât out of this world, we have only been once and only had 4-5 dishes but none of it was particularly tasty of flavoursome. It came quickly and was pretty much what it said on the menu but not as good as most people would make at home. The smoked aubergine was literally like eating some coal from the bar-b-q and the rest was pretty plain and functional. Iâd go again if I was passing or for a coffee but wouldnât make a big effort or come for a special meal. Iâd give 3.5 if I could give half marks.

I went in for a takeaway kebab this evening as I was in the area. I went in and firstly, it looked closed, everything looked a bit sparce and staff not really paying attention.I walked in, had a look at the menu and a man said 'yes' without even looking at me. I then asked for the meal deal 10, again without looking he said; what's that? I then had to read out his own menu to him. After all this, I thought i'd check they still took card; he said yes but it's there's a fee. I asked him to clarify this and I did mention that there is a law prohibiting this; he replied 'it's a service fee' I asked if this was also applicable to payment by cash; he said no only card. There was no level of apology or understanding that they weren't allowed to charge for card anymore. I left and went elsewhere as the guy seemed disinterested in my order anyways; but I also feel the card charge; that whilst is against the law, would also have been considered excessive even when places could charge for card. The food is also overpriced for medium standards.

izgara restaurant Very delicious fresh food and excellent service Best barbecue fresh salad and meze.
Iâve been coming here for lunches and dinners very often, at least once a month. On the weekdays at lunch they normally have an offer with 20% off which they always add to my bill. This tome when the bill came the lunch discount wasnât added. I was then told by the waiter, you didnât order a main meal each (we ordered mezzes and salads which were filling enough). I immediately requested for the menu where it clearly states 20% off irrespective of the meals you get and the money you spend. The waiters response was â Iâll take it off this time, but not from next timeâ. Am I supposed to be psychic to know what to order? And instead of apologising for adding on rules which Iâve never been charged by nor are they visible anywhere, heâs instead accusing me of not ordering enough. Iâm not psychic to know this offer. Iâve enjoyed their food for several years. If management are seeing this I urge them for your waiters to follow the written rules or else it becomes very confusing. I felt very badly treated as a customer. And I donât think my family will feel comfortable visiting again either. Itâs a real shame. For a chain restaurant thatâs well reputable to make up such rules which donât follow whatâs written and yet accuse you is totally wrong. We arenât kids where you speak in that tone. I should be respected for whatever I may order. You donât make up the rules as you go along. You arenât a single one man shop. I expected better as a regular customer.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful meal here after visiting Elstree Studios recently. The restaurant itself was clean, the staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes excellent, even for someone with a 'healthy appetite' like me! My girlfriend commented on the delicious complimentary Turkish Delight at the end of the meal. The waiter bought us over some more! We would certainly go back if we find ourselves in the area again.

If i tell you we broke our journey from Luton into London here that should tell you how good this restaurant is! All the regular favourites can be found on the menu. Prices are generally quite reasonable. Reservations are probably a good idea at weekends
