Reviews on Turkish food in Al Muharraq, Bahrain. Muharraq (Arabic: المحرق; transliterated: Al-Muḥarraq) is Bahrain's third largest city and served as its capital until 1932 when it was replaced by Manama. The population of Muharraq in 2012 was 176,583.

Al Abraj restaurant chain has great food with a variety including Arabic, Chinese and Western, Alabraaj is a great restaurant. and their service is good . The food price also fair. Food in Bahrain is considered generally not expensive . this is always one of the best choices, and the food is very tasty .Prices are very attractive and it could cost of $20 per person for a three course meal.I recommend Al-Abraj Restaurant .

This is still the right place to have a rich Turkish lunch or dinner with a limited budget. During last years interior of the restaurant improved a lot but without significant impact on the prices. Simply a good restaurant where you will get what you expect.

Iskenderun was known for good Turkish cuisine when first opened in 80s. Recently decided to visit the place with a couple of friends. Of course the original owners have left, so it's under new management. I must admit I was very disappointed with the place as far as value for money was concerned, in particular reference to meat. It's a general syndrome in Bahrain nowadays, in absence of Government meat subsidies, particularly at lower end of market restaurants, to expect poor quality meat dishes. For these lower end market restaurants to survive, the quality of the meat is substantially compromised. The meat Iskenderun served this time was anything but meat. This is the reason why I tend to label Iskenderun as well as other lower end market restaurants as "Bad Value for Money". Iskenderun is simply a normal place for getting filled up, i.e. nothing special. The place is small; cramped; and noisy. Being in Exhibition area, is probably the only consolation. I wouldn't recommend the place for someone wanting to have quality Kebab and grilled meat dishes. Actually I'd be quite cautious having meat at these places. One needs to go to slightly higher end market restaurants for better quality meat. Iskenderun in my opinion, is a sub standard place for dining.
