La Tente is not far from Sahara and El Mouradi hotels. The access is through guardedgate. The selection of the dishes is typical as in other restuarants in Douz.

Tonight's buffet was great. The lamb dish was really delicious. The restaurant was very full and it was a Monday night.

I travel through Douz often and am always looking for a good restaurant to eat at. I finally found it. Great prices, yummy food and nice atmosphere-- especially at night, on the roof. This is where I will be eating from here on out.

My husband and I heard about this restaurant which was recommended to us. So we wanted to try. We loved the delicious clay pot dishes. My husband ordered baby camel and it was tender and seasoned perfectly with Rosemary. I ordered baby lamb and it was tender and did not have a strong smell like lamb sometimes had. The meat dishes are served steaming hot as soon as they are extracted from a sealed clay pot cooked in a clay oven. There is usually potato and some gravy that comes with it.Service was kind of slow. It was one of the busiest nights of the year: the International Douz Sahara Festival was on going for 4 days. They have a pre-established menu. Customers only get to chose the kind of meat they want cooked in the clay pot. A soup and a dish of appetizers are usually served initially. Customers sit in tents. Dancing bands would come and try to entertain. I loved the dancers.
