For some years now my family has gotten hooked on Pho restaurants. Large portions, great prices and really tasty food...usually. This place disappointed. Never had such a bland Pho meal in my life. Their fresh herbs only include basil..and very little of that...a tiny piece of lime and a little hot red pepper (more pepper was NOT needed though). But it simply seemed like a bowl of somewhat flavored water with noodles. Oh yeah, the meat....Never have I seen such a tiny, measly portion of meat in a Pho soup as here. I had the large yet the amount of meat was perhaps 1/3 of what I have gotten with small or medium bowls elsewhere..and those places have the same prices. So not sure if I was more disappointed with the lack of fresh herbs, the bland flavor of the soup or the tiny portion of meat. Clean place and very friendly service though. Perhaps their other offerings are better but if you put "Pho" in the name of your restaurant...it should be good.

Hi, I just ate there last night. Two ladies getting out for dinner. We met there at 6:30pm.I am currently on a gluten-free diet. I phoned ahead and asked if they have gluten-free food and they told me Yes, and a couple of suggested menu items. Then when I got there, I was very pleased to see that there are MANY gluten-free options on their menu! It was great.I was thinking of getting the Pad Thai, but ended up settling on the Cashew Nut Chicken. I really liked the flavour of the sauce. Although the menu displays a chili pepper indicating it is mildly spicy, I didn't find it spicy at all. I know everyone's palate is different though. But I'm the kind of person who can only eat mild or medium and I don't like hot. So I was surprised how tame this was. Lots of nice chunks of bell peppers, onion, chicken, and of course cashews. Served with nice bowl of jasmine rice. I ate it all, was delicious. My friend enjoyed her food too.The place is small and simple and unassuming. The server was friendly enough and helpful, but perhaps not super attentive. We had to get up to pay - I'm not sure if this is one of those places where they do not bring a bill to the table, or what - but we got tired of waiting for a bill and finally just got up to pay. On a Monday night at 6:30pm there was only one or two other tables being used.I would eat there again, would like to try some more of the menu items. This place has it's own parking lot which is accessible both from Dundas south side AND from the little side street the bakery in the same plaza sides onto (Centre Street S).My total, for Cashew Nut Chicken and a ginger ale, was $14-something. Very good price for what I got.

Our latest visit to DeSiam matched our earlier visits with cheerful service & delicious food. My Wife had Sweet & Sour Chicken which was delicious. I ordered soup which was spicy, full of vegetables & tasty. We both needed boxes to bring home the rest of our meals. We don't live nearby or we'd visit more often.

Wish we could visit every day! Excellent little dining establishment in the heart of downtown Whitby. We have visited a few Thai restaurants, but always return to I-Thai. Management is great and so is the staff. Sometimes for take-out there is a bit of a wait, however, the food is worth the wait. Always fresh and hot too! We always have the mango salad and I have the most difficult time ordering a soup other than the spicy beef. The lemon grass is awesome too. I don't think there is a bad choice on the menu.We would prefer a more intimate setting, but most Thai restaurants are pretty much open concept. We have had a couple incidents where we couldn't understand the waitress, but patience is a virtue and she was trying her best
