Reviews on Thai food in Vallejo, California, United States. Vallejo (/vəˈleɪ(h)oʊ/ və-LAY-(h)oh; Spanish: [baˈʎexo]) is a waterfront city in Solano County, California, located in the North Bay sub-region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Vallejo is geographically the closest North Bay city to the inner East Bay, so it is sometimes mistakenly associated with that region. The population was 115,942 at the 2010 census. It is the tenth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the largest in Solano County. Vallejo sits on the northeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, 30 miles north of San Francisco, the northwestern shore of the Carquinez Strait and the southern end of the Napa River, 15 miles south of Napa. The city is named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, a native Californio, leading proponent of California's statehood, and one of the first members of the California State Senate; the neighboring city of Benicia is named for his wife, Francisca Benicia Carrillo de Vallejo.

Cha-Am has been around a long time and has been pretty consistent with their food. My family's favorite has always been muyang, Thai fried rice, calamari, calamari salad, fried tofu, fried wings, rolls. I've tried some of their seafood selections but I'm not impressed with the freshness. Some people may be disappointed with the servers but I find it tolerable. The servers come from different cultural background and so their intonation can easily be misinterpreted.
Thai Fusion restaurant in Hiddenbrooke Plaza Vallejo, California.
Overall very good Thai food. We ordered green curry pork except they brought green curry seafood. Green curry sauce was authentic; the spiciness (very spicy) was as we had requested. The eggplant basil with shrimp was excellent and flavorful. The stir-fry seafood was good and could have been better if real calamari were used instead of the processed calamari strips. Choice of jasmine or brown rice with entrees; however, one can order sticky rice as a side.

My 2nd visit was the charm. I took 2 friends with me and we really enjoyed our meal. The incredible meal was recommended by the young lady waiting on us. Po-tak soup, Thai papaya salad mild, pad-ma-kur w/beef and pad Thai plus a healthy serving of rice. Worth mentioning is that it didn't break the bank we were stuffed and bossa nova on Pandora. Best of all the service we received was excellent! Definitely recommend this place especially if you like Thai food or would like to try something new.
I always judge a Thai restaurant by its Pad Thai. Maya Thai House has a really good one. I have to order a pad thai for each of my kids otherwise there is not enough to go around. Be prepared for a little wait as the place always seems to be packed when I go. But that just means the food must be good!
