The population was 39,643 at the 2000 census, and it rose to 40,524 at the 2010 census.

I had dinner here with family. I tried the Pad Thai and Mama sushi. Both were wonderful. Service was very good. Waitress was very attentive and always kept our drinks full. Dining area is very dim lit and it has a definite cozy feel to it. The food is a little pricey but the portions are a very decent size. Everyone had to take a to go box. Their tea is very good. I would definitely return. There is a good variety on the menu.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sumter. I've read some bad reviews of it in the past and didn't let that deter me. They have authentic Thai and Korean dishes, which I love and the portions are very generous for the price. I highly recommend the Beef Bulgogi or my personal favorite- Red Curry Beef.

My daughter and I just arrived in Sumter and were looking (and hoping) to find a good Thai food restaurant. We were not disappointed. Right off you must be prepared to wait for a while because the little ladies are working hard to use, what I think, is fresh ingredients with lots of chopping in the back. So, this is not instant, heated in a microwave food. The food we ordered was full of the flavors that I look for in Thai food and it is made by Thai people as we heard them speaking Thai. We highly recommend the food here. They also offer some Vietnamese dishes as well and buffalo wings. You can call and order ahead. We saw lots of people come in to pick up their orders. There is seating outside as well.

Based on TA ratings, we had a great dinner at this no-frills establishment. But in choosing between a fasihonable, well appointed interior and finding authentic, freshly prepared, and indescribably delicious meals that in part come from the owner/operators container garden behind the restaurant for Thai herbs, I'll choose the one with the garden out back any day! The owner/chef's English language skills are rudimentary, (none-the-less far greater than my Thai language skills!), but her suggestions and her willingness to craft a meal based on your desires was unsurpassed. If you're looking for a quick meal of pre-prepared ingredients, this isn't the place to go. What we found was a restaurant where everything was prepared specifically for us and it took the right amount of time to prepare such a meal. Additionally, the portions were enough to have lunch for two the next day... and prices more than reasonable. Heretofore, I have not found a place in Sumter worth our 40 minute drive from home, but happily, now I have. We'll be back soon and often.

This was my first, but definitely not my last, visit! The Pho was awesome and you can determine your own level of heat! Our order was filled quickly and our food was great! We even got a surprise preview of a dessrt being considered, by the chef!
