This is unlike any of the other restaurants here - lovely Galician ingredients done in a modern "fusion" way (it has some Asian influence, but i wouldnt call it an Asian restaurant for example). The dishes are creative, well balanced and nicely presented. While the simple descriptons of the dishes sounded like things we'd had before, in fact each dish had a unique aspect to it, nothing really like the way i have had that dish before. Best to share everything as a set of tasting dishes - we had 10 I think between 3 of us, plus 3 desserts, and that was a nice amount for moderate eaters. Not the cheapest place you can eat at, but if you're genuinely into your food, this will be a real highlight. This restauirant could succeed in Melbourne, New York, or any other big cosmoplitan city - but you still feel its a local experence. We were early (by Spansih standards) and werent in a hurry anyway, so our service was great. But the place filled up between 10 and 10:30!

Where to Eat in Santiago de Compostela: The Best Restaurants and Bars

After trying all of the other sushi places in town (there's not many - 3 in total) Santiago Kyoto became my favourite. Loved the udon noodle soup with mushrooms and two big tempura shrimps on the side. The noodles were cooked perfectly (not too soft not too hard) Also had a 41⬠sushi and sashimi platter which was very tasty and fresh. Will definitely come back. The only set back is the price which is expensive for Spanish standards - but on the bright side they have a "Menu" which is like a meal deal, including delicious food, drink and dessert for a more inviting price.
