Unfortunately this wasn't the experience as previous on a weekday teatime. The service was very poor the lady seemed distracted forgot our drinks on three occasions I asked for Soy Sauce this never appeared even though we asked twice throughout the whole meal. The door was left propped open to the restaurant it was freezing cold. Sadly we have since made our week day tea time meal out else where... The decor is starting to look like it is need of a little tlc.

The Royal Elephant serves carvery every day all day except Monday, also full menu available. International buffet every Friday evening and Thai banquet every Saturday evening. Traditional Sunday Lunch.
Visited with my family, and was amazed with the carvery. Great food, excellent staff and service. Oh yes - and very reasonable. £5.95 for the carvery with a choice of meats and plenty of accompaniments. Will definitely return. If youâre in the area, why donât you try it?
We had spring rolls and Thai fishcakes to start, Ginger chicken and Pad Thai chicken, egg fried rice and 2 bottles of water for less than £20. Don't let the outside put you off, inside it's cladded out in wood a bit like a beach hut with bench seating and the kitchen and shop are through a door on the same building. The food was hot, freshly cooked and delicious. The lady serving and cooking was lovely and really friendly we can't wait to go back. The place was spotlessly clean too.
