ปกติไปแพร่ก็จะไปนั่งร้านกาแฟ เพราะที่นี่จะมีร้านกาแฟผุดขึ้นมากมาย แตกต่างทั้งลักษณะการจัดร้าน บรรยากาศ รสชาติ และราคา ที่จะชอบมากที่สุดคงจะเป็นร้านโฮะ เพราะบรรยากาศและฝีมือบาริสต้า ใช้ได้ทีเดียว คราวนี้ไปกลับได้พบร้านข้าง ๆ ซึ่งเดิมเป็นบ้านเก่าที่ไม่มีใครทำอะไร บัดนี้เปลี่ยนโฉมใหม่ไฉไลนัก และเปิดเป็นร้านอาหารท้องถิ่น เราก็เข้าไปใช้บริการโดยทันทีแรกเลยประทับใจกับบรรยากาศของร้านที่จัดได้พอเหมาะพอเจาะ มีโต๊ะนั่งในร้านหลายโต๊ะอยู่ และมีเคาน์เตอร์ติดหน้าต่าง เราเลือกนั่งตรงนี้ เพราะนอกจากจะได้พิจารณากำแพงที่มีลักษณะคล้ายบ้านดิน ทั้งที่ทำจากซีเมนต์ ช่างเก่าแก่นี่ต้องยอมรับในฝีมือจริง ๆ สวยงามมาก ตรงจริตเรา บนผนังก็จะติดรูปเล่าเรื่องราวความเป็นมาของร้าน อันประกอบด้วยครอบครัวที่ตั้งใจสร้างบ้านนี้ตั้งแต่ปี 2493 และส่งต่อกันมาจนรุ่นหลาน และหลานก็ได้มาทำร้านอาหารอย่างที่เป็นอยู่ ภาพเก่า ๆ บนผนังเก่า ๆ เข้าบรรยากาศมาก มองไปนอกหน้าต่างก็เห็นแต่ความเขียวสดใสของสวนไม้นานาพรรณ พร้อมโต๊ะอาหารกลางแจ้งอีก 2 โต๊ะ ร่มรื่นดีแท้อาหารแนะนำก็คือ "ผัดหมี่ฮอม" เป็นผัดลูกผสมระหว่างผัดไทยกับหมี่โคราช ไม่รู้จะอธิบายยังไง ก็เหมือนผัดไทยแต่สีน้ำตาล คลุกเคล้าด้วยน้ำปรุงเฉพาะของร้านที่กลมกล่อม เส้นนุ่มเหนียว และมีหมูย่างกับแจ่วมาให้ด้วย เมื่อลองได้ทานเส้นพร้อมหมูย่างจิ้มแจ่วแล้ว มันช่างเข้ากั๊น เข้ากัน ไม่ต้องปรุงอะไรเพิ่มเติมให้วุ่นวายอีกเลย ของเด็ดเลยค่ะ สนนราคาอยู่ที่จานละ 45 บาท ทานคนเดียวอิ่มก็ได้ หรือจะทานด้วยกัน 2 คนกระหนุงกระหนิง แล้วสั่งอย่างอืนเพิ่มก็ได้ต่อมาก็เป็นขนมเส้นกระดูกนุ่ม จะบอกว่ามันคือขนมจีนกับน้ำซุปที่คล้ายน้ำเงี้ยวท้องถิ่นของแพร่ แต่ไม่ได้ใส่เงี้ยว งงมั้ยคะ คือน้ำเงี้ยวทั่วไปจะใส่พริกแกงหรือน้ำพริกเผา เห็นสีออกแดง ๆ แต่ที่แพร่จะเป็นที่เดียวกระมังที่น้ำเงี้ยวเป็นน้ำใสแหน็ว ร้านนี้ก็ประมาณนั้นแค่ไม่มีเงี้ยว มีแต่กระดูกหมูที่กรุบกรอบอร่อย ใครใคร่แซ่บก็ตักพริกใส่กันเองตามความพึงพอใจ ราคาเบา ๆ ถ้วยละ 20 บาท ทานพอให้รู้รสชาติ ไม่ต้องอิ่มมากเพราะมีให้เลือกทานอีกมากมายค่ะ ^.^รายการต่อไปเมนู "ส้มตำ" สารพัดรูปแบบที่คุณอยากจะทาน เจ้าของร้านแนะนำให้ทานผัดหมี่ฮอมกับส้มตำ เออ มันเข้ากั๊นเข้ากันค่ะ อร่อยมาก ฝีมือปรุงส้มตำจัดจ้านดีค่ะ ราคาอยู่ที่ 40-55 แล้วแต่ว่าจะสั่งแบบไหนนะคะไก่ทอด มีให้เลือก 2 เมนูค่ะ ปีกไก่ทอดน้ำปลา กับไก่ทอดมะแขว่น ลองแล้วทั้งสองรายการ เราชอบปีกไก่ทอดน้ำปลา มะแขว่นจะแห้งกว่าหน่อยหนึ่ง แต่กลิ่นมะแขว่นจะโชยแตะจมูก ใครไม่ชอบกลิ่นก็เลือกทอดน้ำปลาไป ราคาเบา ๆ ที่จานละ 59 บาททั้งคู่ค่ะน้ำ เค้ามีบริการน้ำเปล่าแบบตักเองตามสบาย น้ำเปล่าขวดละ 10 บาท ส่วนน้ำสมุนไพรก็มีให้เลือกมากมาย ช่วยบำรุงสุขภาพ ใครชอบแบบไหนสั่งแบบนั้นค่ะ น้ำสมุนไพรอยู่ที่ขวดละ 25 บาทได้นั่งทานอาหารอร่อยรสเลิศไป ดูรูปเก่า ๆ กับผนังปูนเก่า ๆ ไป เดี๋ยวก็เหม่อชมสวนข้างนอกเขียว ๆ สบายตา ลมฉุย ๆ จากทั้งด้านนอกและพัดลมด้านใน เพลิดเพลินใจนักหนา ใครไปใครมาแพร่ อย่าลืมแวะมาทานกันนะคะ ^.^

Located in the Phrae city, Ban MaPrang provides best quality of homemade dishes with reasonable price! The menu I recommend is Khao Pad Nampik Long ruea! ( Fried rice with chili paste) and also pasta menu, tom yum kung and so on. The table area are comfortable to sit and they also have a little cafe bar for coffee. Don't miss it! Open at 10 am - 4pm, close on weekend :)อาหารร้านบ้านมะปรางอร่อยมาก มีไวไฟฟรี เเละมีกาแฟสด ที่นั่งก็ร่มรื่น มีหมาพุ้ดเดิ้ลสองตัวอยู่หลังร้าน ห้าๆๆๆ อาหารเเนะนำ คือ ข้าวผัดน้ำพริกเรือ หรือจะสั่งเป็นชุดก็ได้ รสชาติถูกปากทั้งคนไทยเเละต่างชาติมาก เเนะนำร้านนี้ค่ะ

We had a nice meal here. Stir fried seafood was good as was spicy pork with rice. Not amazing food but pleasant place & friendly staff. No alcohol served here though. Thank you so much for coming

Following the positive feedback of the TripAdvisor community (thank you) we made reservations for dinner. The design of the restaurant is amazing - cool and stylish. Live music provides a nice atmosphere. This may disturb some visitors, we enjoyed it because it was not to dominant. The variety of authentic Thai food was more then sufficient. The pricing was fair and lower than for this level of restaurant expected. All our dishes were delicious. The staff was very friendly with some room for improvement of their English skills.

We had lunch at this place and although it was ok, we didn't love it.It's set up like a food court, which can be a little confusing, but there is an English menu to help. Our food was fine, but was pre-cooked so not the freshest ever.I'd recommend the chicken satay.

We called for coffee and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and originality of the cafe. Whilst offering a modern take on life the cafe is intrinsically Thai and provides a really pleasant environment. As well as serving a range of coffees and teas there is also a limited food menu with pasta dishes, salads and waffles. The only downside is that it closes at 5:00pm.
